IMO we should....
we cant keep playing lambert, harding, jaidi, hammond every game every week without them getting tired...lambert may need a break at some point (as with harding)..
I could not care less about the FA cup this season (or next) and maybe we should give it a wide berth and put the "fringe" players out..
No. Only rest any injured players or those carrying knocks. A(n other) cup run would be a lucrative sideline especially with TV money knocking about for 'big' games. What price Saints vs. Skates @ SMS on a Saturday evening or a Sunday? A full house + extra revenue...
Bring on the FA Cup and COYR!

Oh well. Here we go again @ 19:45 tonight. What us 'exiles' have to put up with.
Let's hope that things will be better this time round, eh!

He's 33 now, and as a left back I would have Harding any day of the week. Can Thatcher also play CB though, I thought he could? If thats so, then he could come in to the squad to cover for CB after Trotman leaves.
34 in 12 days time! Surely only on a short term loan spell at that age.
-
Ivan Golac should be on my list though along with Moran and Armstrong.
A golden age.
I would have to include Chris Nicholl if I was making a list as well as the obvious candidates MLT, Killer, Claus, Holmes, Channon & Ball (Not Cannon and Ball before somone chips in with the obvious retort), Shilts, Beatts and an often overlooked super-sub, still involved in the club, David Puckett.

Is to get back out there and win the next game.
Norwich can't come quick enough, because no matter what these pathetic knee jerkers write tonight i think we are a good team, but we were beaten by a better one (on the day) today, it just seemed like a bad day in the office when nothing seemed to go right and we all get those, and so do the likes of Chelsea, Manure, Real Madrid.
So if we can just carry on, put this behind us and get another 8 match unbeaten run then that will do for me.
Wholeheartedly agree. Another big crowd and a big atmosphere for Saturday and we'll be back on track (not that I think we're far off it).
We're bound to lose a few games, but 1 in 9 is OK. Let's just win the next 8?

Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in FA Cup quarter-final in 1984. 0-0 draw. Won the replay 4-1 at the Dell if my memory serves me right.

Football is for 3, o'clock on at Saturday afternoon.
Ah, those were the days!

Does anyone know if this is going to me shown online anywhere? ive been searching but to no avail?? Ta

Brighton havn't beaten us since 1981, so hopefully Sky TV or new manager won't have any effect and we stroll on out of the bottom 4 of division 3. When we do I expect we never return there again in my life time.
Proper optomism...I like it and hope it happens (or doesn't if you see what I mean)

Enjoyed that. Thankyou boys. Good cup-tie away from home.
Need to close games out better though.
3-0 up, half way thru the 2nd half, should've been more comfortable at the end!

Iraq goals is approx 15 secs ahead of atdhe with the same stream (Justin TV).

anyone know what colour we're wearing???
We played in red & white at the Memorial Ground/Stadium last time!

From past experience, the Suppporters Club coaches generally arrive approx 1 hr before kick-off.
If anyone else is pre-ordering tickets from the ticket office, this is a good rule of thumb re: collection, as I wouldn't trust the post at the moment! Even my bills aren't arriving!!

This is the thread for the league game vs. Rovers in Sept! Welcome back old buddy...

wouldnt want this woman-beater and all-round prize c.ock-end within a light-year of our club.
+1!!
-
For me the 2 players I remember most from being a kid are Phil Boyer & Ivan Golac. Stevie Williams was top quality too.
+1. Not forgetting KK, Steve Moran, ...
Feeling like an old fart @ 43!

Good to see the official site keeping the fans informed. also good to hear that Connolly should be good for Saturday.
Good to see. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

One of the worst football songs of all time.
...but very appropriate when we go to Plymouth's Home Park!

David Puckett still involved at Saints coaching the youths.
A quality player (who I played againt 5-a-side) who I remember as a great super-sub.

I'll be listening unlike Saturday afternoons when I'm always working.
Just hoping the posts on another thread re: poor recent commentary standards on Saints Player have been resolved. :-k
