I think perhaps the club's damaging media campaign over the last year insulting football authorities at every opportunity, plus the drip feed effect of Gold and Wenger openly calling them cheats, other clubs losing out on players when outbid by a morally bankupt and insolvently trading regime, a whispering campaign in the corridors of the football league from unimpressed chairmen and the pending court action, meant that the insanity of signing Lawrence and Kitson was seen as the final two straws - AA couldn't even do that in one!
Rather than being seen as the cavalry coming over the horizon, history may record these two Stoke reject signings as the final double insult that pushed the authorities to action.
Enough is enough - saddle the horses, it's Apocalypse II time - the return of the four horsemen - clippety-clop, clippety-clop, up the M275.....
Named, fittingly, in the correct order?
Conquest, war, famine and death.
I believe the famine is running out.

One of the main reasons of course being that pubs didn't re open until 1800 at the earliest so you had to make your own post match entertainment in those days
Negotiating Hill Lane and So'ton Central was taxing on most Saturday evenings for those who travelled by train. Lots of various shenanigans with Brum, Villa and most London clubs.
We even encountered Forrest at our local chippy in Eastleigh one year.
Heady days indeed.

I didn't think they would be, I thought they wouldn't be allowed to start next season full stop unless they came out of adminGolden share denied...

The club will now take time to consider the feedback from the meeting ahead of further discussions with The Football League. There's nothing to consider.
Comply or feck off, never to darken football's door again.
DFCSBs.
Where's the Ho?

All miners safely retrieved.
Job done.
Well done to all the Chilean people who never gave up on their compatriots in their hours and months of need.
Uplifting news.
Now to heal, carefully, those surely tortured minds.

ESB go full member mate, i wanna send you a pm. If you want, as a peace offering i'll pay for you if you want. Gen offer.
Thanks for your kind offer, I abstain through choice and not affordability. I regularly review my choice and, as yet, I have found nothing on the forum which causes me to want to change my mind.

you're a sparky yeah? Do you find that the new blood at your place are a lot more with it than the old boys. I find this at my place with the young sparkys being sh1t hot at their job.
Depends.
The newer lads are mostly multi skilled, they then tend to be more interested in either electrics or mechannical. Not that many follow fully through on both lines.
Those that do nothing after they become skilled men tend to be more into PLCs and electronics. Some couldn't even bend a piece of conduit to save their lives.
Installation Electricians are the ones who keep most up to date with BS7671, they need to, and stuff like Pipe tray, trunking.
I'm into Maintenance and machine faults, very rare to do any installation so I find that products have changed and improved almost every time I do a small installation.
Electrics, like mechannics, is a very diverse field and I don't know many who are all round experts at everything in their line of work.
As to the old boys? We have our value in experience of faults etc.

Those things on the road.

what happened to your missing 4000 home fans who were there last week
remind us who's cup final it was:toppa:
There was more to laugh at last week you troll! Watching chavskatewannabes being hoisted by their own petards would be infinitely more fun than
watching Saints play well against an honest, workmanlike club like Tranmere. Although, to be honest, I enjoyed yesterday's game more. The pre-pubescent yob element from the Northam visitors section were less in numbers but they were equally supportive of their team despite that.
Now run along, haven't you got wind up work to do here ?
welcome back our feeder club fan. We've got Adam Lallana! That's what all this 'beachiness' is about!
-
What sad for laughing at my own? Why? There's lots to laugh at! You're just being po-faced about it all because it suits your agenda. Worse things happen at sea, I have experience of losing employment through others mismanagement, I've lost money to florists that went bust (I like flowers, whats up with that?), yet despite the anger and initial angst caused I got on with it as have everyone else. The only people still publicly bleating on about it are a load of old sanctimonious windbags on a scum messageboard, not the actual people affected by it. Some people's mock indignation has I feel, this long after the event, become laughable. So yeah, I'm laughing. Sad innit.
I'll go for this one.
While us scum laugh at your pathetic, but succesful, attempts to scam all and sundry, you'll notice that, slowly, us Scum are rising to the top.
You, the DFCSBs, are no more than bottom feeders and that is exactly where you belong.
I'd rather be a scummer than a skate.
-
lol, but most on here think we've escaped all punishment, I'm just keeping up appearances.
Yeh, I know what you mean.
Those DFCSBs have more front than Blackpool.

Ok. Barring an unsuccesful test drive I will be having the following:
Ford Mondeo TDCi 2.0 (140) Zetec, Sports Suspension and Tinted Windows. Panther Black Metallic Paint.
After doing some digging, it seems that the 2.0 TDCi Duratorq engine comes in at 115, 140 and 163 bhp levels. Could it be possible that the more 'gutless' ones stated above could be the 115 spec, or could the lower performance be just down to the extra car weight from the newer model?
Not sure to be honest Colin, the drive I had was a pool car and I don't know the finer points of the vehicle's technicalities. I'd hazard a guess that it's the lower spec.
-
You mean Wigley has been sacked?!?
Do keep up, that's what the F5 key is for!
-
Just been offered this as my new company car. The specs look pretty good, Sports Suspension, Cruise Control, Bluetooth connectivity etc.
Anyone have any first hand experience with the latest Mondeo? I've heard good things but would rather hear it from an owner.
Drove the company one a few weeks ago.
Nice spec but uncomfortable and gruntless when compared to my own, 52 plate, 2.0 Petrol Ghia X.

Can we get DM to give a live commentry on Solent on how it's going?
"What Steve doesn't want to do now, Adam, is let the server slow down"
"When I was a coach, Adam, we made the servers work hard right through the game"
Lol! You actually had me hearing him whisper that!

I've not cheated but know i'm going to with a barmaid, already we've flirted and i've already planned my chat up along the lines of i've only come back to see you because you're gorgeous and funny, but i think you're way out my league. She then says don't be silly and we chat and laugh and it starts. She really gets lots of attention but I just we've got chemistry from the way she smiles and looks at me when she's serving other people and I can tell her heart is beating fast and she's intrigued to get to know me. She really is fit, and could take her pick, bu for some reason she likes me. And I just know she'll be up for anything in bed or wherever.
I know i'm a cvnt.
Anyone else cheated and felt terrible, but can't resist the temptation?

Oh that is sad news

research it?
Tell me this, we dont claim to have a history but laughingly you do? Now semi finals, losing finals, getting knocked out against no name teams in first round European games (you make it sound like you were in Europe every year
) doesnt count as history for any club that claims to have a history
It just embarrassing..." we have a history you see ,we lost this trophy, made the semi's of that trophy and flopped in Europe"
Tell us about the dell fellas.....the little old wreck of a place that at least kept you solvent, now tell us about St Fairies ? The ground that sent you down, poorly constructed by Barr, small seats and built on the cheapest shabbiest piece of land south of Watford.
You have just had your biggest attendance of the season and wooo wooo a narrow victory and you think you are premiership bound. Exactly how much did Cortese spend during the summer....? I mean you arent exactly splashing the cash around now are you.
Roll on next march, we will sit you in our mighty fourth stand and give you 10% of our capacity......hopefully it will rain
Of course by then you will be 'storming the league' as one of your fans posted on our site, so I would hate to see the demand for tickets...you can always sit in the tree behind
love u lots

ps.....
Barnard celebrating his cup final I presume
I've come to the conclusion that Bompey's performance this season, up until Saturday, has gone to your head and unhinged your already fragile mind. Now, to be honest, Bompey have done well, they had a great season last year what with fighting against all the odds. Yes we all cheered on learning you were promoted and we looked forward to a nice little game or two with you. Sadly the reulsts this season led you to get an attack of the vapours, the air is weak up there you know, and you felt you had us in your pocket. Even after the Carling Cup game you still felt this Saturday would be easy.
Well it wasn't like that at all was it? Now you're starting to worry that you have been found out, the panic is setting in and you are worried that Bompey may well be a busted flush. so, in all your bitterness, you come on here acting the Bertie Big B0ll0x and have a go by resorting to what you feel you know best.
Excuse us while we all laugh.....
....a lot.
-
Ah yes they have got a nice beach though..!
They were certainly our beaches on Saturday, probably why ossie is beaching now, considering they were so up for it and felt that they were much better than us!
-
how ironic that it all kicks off after a Saints victory as well, who would of thought eh.....
It's been in the offing for at least 3 months so it's no knee jerk reaction.

I started a "Getting to know the mods" thread once back when I was able to start threads. It was going to be a whole series of threads which started with getting to know St. Landrew (shortly after, the £5 subscription was introduced and the series could no longer continue). I gave him a whole host of questions about his e-life, real life, Saints and more. He kindly made the effort to reply to it all in detail. Gunna miss him around here. He (and I suppose Ponty) were the best mods on here. Level headed fella.
Shame the mods take so much stick around here. They all try their hardest.
I get the impression that some of the Mods are given the wrong idea of the task required of them and when they do their job, to the best of their ability, their best efforts are undone and thrown back in their faces.
Hey ho, I'm sure that both St Landy and Pontiff will be happier now.
Thanks you guys.

My nipper and I witnessed some real 'hard' Bompey as we walked up from the railway station.
Four or five young men, behaving, until they saw nipper's Saints fleece. Then they started all
the football factory crap "What a small little town" etc.
The Bompey lot looked rather chastened at the station after the game. Two collared for some
'indiscretion' with an older Saints fan as we came down the steps to the platform.
All in all a good result at the game but their fans are rather like Skate wannabes.
-
If you care to read the other fourm I have already stated my comments of homosexuals were tounge in cheek. Sadly for you, you were to late so cant give yourself a huge cyber pat of the back for pointing out the wronguns to the mods, they'd already infracted me, it seems there are no need for snides and grasses on this forum afterall.
Not looking for a pat on the back.
Can't say I see my action as 'grassing' either because, as I previously explained, all I did was answer your public question.
Toodlepip for another 24 hours.
-
Oh you petty litte grass, that conversation you stuck your oar into was nothing to do with you. I'm sure you'll be delighted to know i got an infraction for that, so have been "dealt with", so much for your pathetic claims that i am "protected" I wonder if Chris Obee and Ludwig have been dealt with for their trolling?
Look at you grassing people up, pathetic.
Ha ha! You are a mini Dune aren't you!
I didn't 'grass', I answered yours, and Arizona's, public questions, in one post.
If you don't like the answer then don't ask the question or ask it privately my little homophobe!
I'm not particularly concerned by your getting an infraction. I believe that soon this forum will be populated by either the meek, accepting without question, or the extreme homophobic, racist and downright nasty elements among Saints fans.
Bodes well doesn't it?
Oh! protected? If you got an infraction then maybe there is hope for the forum after all?
