Saying it was a set up sounds too much like some dodgy conspiracy you'd see on a late night BBC3 programme, I think it was just their tactics but I do agree with Stu to an extent. None of the real trouble makers got nicked.

It was a setup from start to finish, and if the Police were honest with themselves, it wasn't a success.

 

Their plan was to get enough evidence to wipe out Southamptons Casual and Youth elements... make loads of nickings and set an example.

 

It is common knowledge that not a single 'risk element' was actually arrested and the ones that were arrested were just normal fans who got a bit over-excited... none of them have probably been involved in any sort of disorder before.

I said at the start of the season that I would take mid-table this year and go up as Champions next. At times this season we've played football that would easily beat many Championship teams, there's no reason why we shouldn't be Champions of League One.
