  1. People are mentioning clear and obvious because that is what it is meant to be used for. It is meant to be used to overturn clear or clear and obvious errors.
But that is one of the many reasons why this doesn't work. Who decides and defines what is meant by "clear and obvious"?
  2. Burnley fans aren't best pleased either. Not only are they having to play on a Thursday evening, but their planned game vs Stoke has had to be moved from the following Saturday to the Sunday as a result, and after tickets for that game went on sale.
Taking the p**s out of fans is getting worse and worse.

Don't know why the Premier League need to decide what is fair in relation to the League Cup final?

  3. Just had a phone call from the club saying that we no longer have Block 23 and that they've moved us into Block 21. Seems a bit odd.
Bizarre. Could have just been an error originally?
  4. good assessment. the centre midfields and centre backs are very exposed and I am not sure either pairing is quite good enough to cope. Also if we are ti play two up top we are going to need a better return from them otherwise whats the point.
Completely agree, Hojberg and Stephens in particular too weak for me.

Apart from that cracking weekend up in Wigan and well deserved win, good numbers in that away end all things considered.

  5. Surely people always thought this was a possibility though?

Arsenal were never going to keep it on Monday with a potential away Europa League game on the thursday. It was always on the cards.

Why is that any different to playing Sunday and then Wednesday in Europe like many clubs do?

  6. Is forcing board members to leave the stadium during a game due to a possible threat to their safety really something people would be happy with? Not the actions of a civilised society!

I'd love us to do that, exactly what a performance like today deserves.

Anyone at today's game that watched more than half an hour of that match is genuinely insane, what a waste of time.

  7. We won one league game in 2018, and only 5 the whole season, our record at St James Park (and in the North East in general) is atrocious.

I'd say he's not a broken record, he's actually very likely to be right.

Our record in the north east over the years has been pretty good relative to our general away form.
  8. I know. I was offering a public service by informing the cult of that fact, and snuffing out any jihadist hope that Brexit might have other national imitators (paging Jihadi John).

We're very much on our own. Or rather, if you take the entirety of Europe, with May's red lines we'd be with Russia, Belarus, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Armenia.

All other European states are in the EU, want to be in the EU (a long list), participate so heavily in the EU that they're subject to the four freedoms, in the customs union or area, or, even though they're outside the EU, have the Euro as their currency.

Such inglorious isolation and bad company may sit well with the character types most closely associated with voting for Brexit - male, white, southern, on a pension (ie majority Saintsweb jihadists) - because isolation is their thing (aside from the impending one-to-one with the grim reaper). But the rest of us will be wending our way back into the EU, thanks all the same.

    Someone's having another breakdown
