Jordan reckons Stefan GP will replace US F1.
He was right about Schumacher making a comeback. .

Bloke on Sky reported that the PL were going to postpone their meeting tomorrow re the -9 points
-
Bet you chose 35-45 though?
How did you guess?
-
done
by the way when you are asking for people's age group it two options are
35-45
45-60
You got clashing age brackets there
Can't think why I noticed this mistake
-
Isn'tit amazing that the reistrar the first time gave them 7 days and it took weeks to find some time in court and then the HRMC put in an appeal and they find time tomorrow.
Pompey will get away with it again.
The fact they've found time tomorrow indicates this case has been pushed right up the priority list. . .
-
Just supposing the PL renage on giving the skates a -9 point dedudction
does that mean saints and others can sue the footballing authorities for inequality eqaully if they are given leave to appeal then surely we would have a prima facia case against the FA league etc. You cannot treat one club differently from another even if they are in the premier league
I very much doubt that will happen for two reasons.
1) It would cause widespread uproar as it's as good as a public statement confirming it's one rule for PL clubs and another for FL clubs
2) The PL want to be rid of Pompey ASAP and want to hand the whole problem over to the FL. Pompey are an embarrassment to the PL right now

QPR been on the phone anyone?
-
You sure?
by a poster with 3 posts. . . . .

PR has never been Pardew's strong point, you just gotta look at his wikipedia page. . .
It struck me that he's a bit frustrated by inconsistency, we ripped Walsall apart today and his face said to me, why the hell couldn't we do that against Wycombe
-
whatever happens in the next election we'll get a Tory government, like we've had since the 70s. The lib dems won't get in because they don't favour the rich, who own the media.
It'll either be Labour or the Conservatives. A Tory party who calls itself Labour, or a Tory party who calls itself The Conservatives

I swear that singer Kate Nash was born in Portsmouth
-
yep plus they are due 5m sky money soon.
I would myself caution all those who are saying they are finished etc as I beleive they have turned a deal and going to make many people throw their hands up in the air in disbelief.
As a saints fan I find it distatsteful that the PM has not mentioned other football clubs in the past when they have also gone into administration and how do fans at Chester, Bournemouth etc feel ?
LOL anyone would think he was concerned about an election coming up
Just shows how clueless he is when it comes to PR, it's his governmental department who wants Pompey liquidated
-
Interestingly the PL still list PFC as having 16 points on their website, even after issuing a statement that they would now invoke the rules.
as do sky and the beeb

why has the administrator not got him to walk immediately? RL was sent packing straight away
give it another hour and 20 minutes and it might be the case

any of you music lovers know any good song titles to phone Quay radio and request them played.
Crying , might be good down down ???by Quo?
There's a track by a german DJ called Timo Maas called 'To Get Down', released about 7 years ago. The chorus has rather appropriate lyrics
"What goes around
Just comes around
This is the sound
It's time to get down"

All kicking off now. Hearn adding international and women's competition to the PDC, and offering the Lakeside semi-finalists a card for the PDC Pro Tour.
He's also rewarding the 8 counties who backed talks with a place at the UK Open.
Things are going to come to a head pretty soon!
Hearn's going in for the kill so it seems.
I'm interested to know where the PDC are gonna get the women from for their women's world championship. I'm assuming they want all the BDO women competing and it's a very big carrot being dangled for Trina Gulliver et al. to play in it, get given a PDC Pro Tour card etc.etc.

I'm sure Chainrai has got his PR ready should HMRC have any objections to Pompey going into admin lol
-
Big form which you only get 15 mins to complete, else you have to start again. Only fast typists need consider reporting tax dodgers.
Completely unconnected, of course, and simply to give an idea of how fast I can type - it takes me about 20 seconds to type 'Harry Redknapp, Peter Storrie and Milan Mandric, Portsmouth City Football Club'. Now if I knew anyone who was a bit dodgy tax-wise do you think I would be able to complete the form in time?
You can always draft the answers in Word and copy and paste when you go to the form.
Someone on here is blatantly gonna submit one for a laugh:D
-
If the skate chap is right, then why would Chainrai bother with admin? Surely admin will just cost him £4m a month, and that will be an ongoing charge until the transfer window opens. Surely Chainrai would be better off cutting his losses and opting for liquidation on Monday?
I'm sure Chainrai could come up with PR most suitable for this occasion. . .

coyle did a miracle with burnley in the first place...look at billy davies at derby..could not buy a win in the prem..yet again with another team (forest)..he kept them up and now are on stunning form towards a real promotion push..
as for chaning their tune..I judge a match on its own merits...regardless if we have won 10 in a row it was still an terrible result tuesday night
Davies getting Derby in the PL was ridiculous, all he did there was buy a bunch of big lumps, got them to kick the **** out of the opposition and hoof the ball up to Steve Howard. They then got an unbelievable run of good luck just when they needed it. They bullied their way into and through the play-offs through sheer strength and work rate alone, but got totally found out in the PL and rewrote the record books.
With Forest he has got a genuinely good team with quality players, and after Burley left here Billy Davies was very much at the top of my list to take over here. He may come across as not a very likeable person but sometimes it gives players the rocket they need, Davies is someone I expect to not tolerate anything less than 100% and if a player plays at 110% it means they weren't giving 100% previously. . .
I think Pardew has done an ok job, a 6 out of 10 job. He has built a squad which is capable of automatic promotion next season but consistent wins must start to appear at the end of this season and go into the next to launch a genuine promotion challenge
-
I don't like this either, and it does remind me of the Branfoot days.
The team IMO has to keep possession better, and learn to dominate and thread balls through when necessary, keeping possession in the process. In AP's defence the reason why we resort to hoofball so much is because Lambert is so dangerous in the air and is exceptionally good at creating something out of a flick-on.
That's good for a time until it becomes one dimensional, which we have been far too guilty of in recent games.
-
Yes it does stink a bit, doesn't it. But I suppose the upside is that at least the employees will be protected, either by keeping their jobs or by getting due redundancy pay and holiday pay.
IIRC we all discussed pre-pack when we were in trouble, didn't we?
In any event, as I posted earlier, pre-pack is a lot more transparent now than it was a year ago, as legislation has been passed by Parliament to make it so. Maybe it won't be quite a straightforward as they might hope.

Apologies if already posted.
I like how it says "If the directors are worried about trading insolvent"
HMRC and the high court know their insolvent

There are too many people doing their day job, when they should be on here answering these questions FFS.
Definitely it's absolutely appalling behaviour
That last post did make me sound quite bad tempered

I think this action confirms without any doubt that HMRC are wanting blood, and are wanting to make an example out of Portsmouth.
This case could potentially give a massive wake up call to the English game as a whole.
