B*ll*cks. You really dont get it. I am desperate for Saints to do well, but am in control of my emotions enough to tell that the club set-up currently cannot deliver that. I would love for the team to prove me wrong.
Alpine... I think the only thing in control of your emotions is lithium tbh. Half your depressive coments are hypothetical and off topic and waste readers time. The thing everyone agrees on is that we want saints to win. We don't want an apparent manic depressive telling us we are wrong unless we state that saints will fail with no better response from u than sarcas
We have good players and a good manager. We also lack a GUD defensive leftback. Nigel doesn't need to go. And I would rather keep him AND GWT relegated than hire say bfs and stay up. Seriously.
-
I deffo prefer Hoddle if we are going back in time.
Alpine just plane no, at the time yes! But that was years ago, he is passed it and lost the drive.... or he would have managed at a decent level for the past "X" years. I wanted him back before for sure. But not now! Nigel deserves this month to see if he can make it.
-
I'd rather see him as a deep defensive midfielder right in front of the back 2 to break up any pesky balls that come their way - or runs - such as the goals WBA scored from. MS needs a kick up the backside and should be dropped.

Oh god. I have big thumbs

He was ML's right hand man which is good enough for me. He talks a good talk when he deems it is time. And aside from the so far proofless rumours, he has done all right by Nigel and by Saints. Pardew we.t for hitting on a star signings wife. The story went up o. The BBC from one of their reporters before being take. Down very hurridley and the whole media scene going hush. No one has spoken since. To me that is proof of AP's guilt as much as Les Reed getting him sacked or all the current rumours u here. Also, parses went after a 4-0 win with a fraction of the money spent that Nigel has had. I tell you, he would be long go.e and over the hill if NC wanted him out. He doet need excuses and does what he wants. He has made a lot of the together as one speak and the 5 year plan. If we put up a four and go down I think NA could stay. As I said... He'd be long gone if the don wanted it.

It is getting boring now,we are all armchair managers but we all say this 433 is not working? but yet we play it week after week.It clearly is not working,we should try and find a formation that suits are players!!
I believe that NC is pulling all the strings,he is like a poor mans Abramovich
But what baffles me is why we didnt make changes as soon as we went 2-0 down, put Punch and Mayuka on the wings and have a go,why wait another 15 mins??
U are aware we played 4-2-2-2 right? Armchair manager. Pfft. Offer fair criticism at least mate

Unlucky tonight. Had to win which suited west brom. They are a good side sadly. Even so we've been screwed over. Handball +deflected goal, crossbar, penalty not given. Sigh. We are the only team to stay up from this position. Chin up. Also fantastic support to those who went. And nice touch between the fans and Nigel at the end. Clyne our best player? Think he gets it for me anyway. Unlucky all. Frustrating as hell when we lose to a team who sit there and counter. But we have to cut out the mistakes. I.e. Davis for second goal! Ramirez also not match sharp. And although they were isolated I thought jayrod was disappointing tonight.

Quality defense of Nigel by Gary Neville there. Do people still think its all his fault and must go?
-
Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes.
Sums us up brilliantly, from administration to the premier and then the current situation.
-
Just sounds like a load of faffing change control to be honest. People need to stop making an mountain out of a molehill.

I can see why you've only posted 140 times...
DPS, his post far exceeds yours in content to be honest. Both your original post and your response quoted here.

Le Tissier, or the guy who designed the spitfire. Are they not the 2 obvious choices followed in all likelihood by Jane McFlange Austin? Tough one for me. Canut gets the vote for the top half at least!!

Nicola, you need to make the decision to sack Adkins, and do it now.
If you don't act decisively and in a timely manner I can see you being blamed for this appalling start to the Season. Appoint a proper Premier League Manager, even if it is old saggy chops, and do it now.
Translation - "NC, my name is DPS, AKA D****ed Pig S**t, I know nothing about football, nor do I represent the majority of saints fans views. However! Do not let that sway you from my undeniable words of wisdom... Nigel Adkins is not a premier league manager (despite the fact that he manages in the premier league?) He did not get us promoted from the championship to the premier - this did not happen! He is in fact a fiasco of a man who has pulled the wool over your eyes these past 2 years despite "not" getting 2 promotions on the back of a £3m net spend!!!!
You must sack him now! He will never be a premier league manager, because all premier league managers have always managed in only the premier league! And, despite only ever taking responsibilties for the team performance, it will be your fault alone NC if we get relegated.
***************
My personal message to NC - Hire your brown shirts, find DPS, and ban him from st mary's for the rest of his life. This is fact, this wish represents the majority of saint's fans wishes and this must be done! If you do not do this as an example to all saintette mongs, then mark my words..... we will blame you for our bedwetting fanbase. IT WILL BE ALL YOUR FAULT NC!!!!

Not. A. Chance.
Alpine, how rich are you?
The reason I ask is because statements like this make me think of Back to the Future 2 and a certain Sports Almanac? You also tend to rub people up the wrong way (a bit like the bad guy in said movie). - I say this in jest!
But seriously if you are wrong, can you stop being a prat and stating "facts" - which are bollux. And instead give it as your opinion. Its a bit more polite than constantly shouting people down or giving them sarcastic comments? Pretty Please
-
How many fans have seen luke Shaw play in a first team match? Are they basing this clamour to see him thrown into the premier league based reputation and the theory that he must be good because a newspaper said Arsenal want him.
Yes, but surely you agree that leeds away would be a good test by which to guage him.
-
I blame fox for both tbh. aways down the left........... have you seen his tracking back for the first. A liesurely strole whilst lennon (or defoe) attacks our CB. - He is walking back, 30m away when the cross goes in - total fecking joke... However this is off topic.
I don't blame Boruc for any goals so far. Hadn't played since may so is bound to be rusty. I would also like to see the fans who abused him getting a ban for 2months. Plyer abused on his home debut. Wouldn't surpise me if it was anti polish bs as well. Have heard that a few times in chapel over the years.

I find it utterly incredible that people are trying to justify our best player being left out and subbed all the time.
Face facts, it's a f*ck up.
Seriously, Lambert, our best player? Jesus Christ. He is one of a few key players. We are premier league now, he is slow, and he is 30. I love him to bits but he is not going to be suited to every game so he shouldn't expect to start every game.. He has not been stand out in any of the last 3 matches.... others have, yet he is our best player? I wonder if we are paying him the same as Gaston, or davies for that matter. Personally I think Lallana is more important for our team now and going forward. Don't get me wrong. Lambert is a class player and a strue saints legend... But gallas totally handled him and others will as well. He will not be suited to all oppositions.

From what i saw, Mr Brouc was completely out of order.
Reading this thread I would say its fairly clear that you saw wrong. But never mind, people like to get angry about perceived wrongs. Your attitude is exactly the same as the mongs who started the whole affair. And now it has gone out on radio solent so that the fans will turn on Boruc...
Literally, well ****ing done to the numpties!

In answer to your thread title...
"DI CANIO"
I Say...
NO

I think it will be Kelvin, Gazza has been dropped as he is not ready. Poor game (should have saved 2) vs everton etc. Boruc could have been better vs Spam (In his defense he has not played in a while before this and LB was awful.) That leaves Kelvin, promoted back to the bench with both keepers in front of him having a bad games last couple of times out. I think we will see KD this week!
-
In the games they have both played, Punch has been the better player. United and Villa stick out. Would have been MoTM v Villa if not for Ramirez
Puncheon was directly responsible for Villa's goal. Him and clyne dicking around at right back, sloppily gave the ball away, villa scored from immediate cross. Nowhere near man of the match for me... However, he has done well this season and should not be worried about in general. Neither should lallana, for example great goal against wet spam, great assist for lambert against villa to get us back in the game. Never stops running and tracks back loads with some crucial tackles and blocks.
People need to accept that we are not good enough at the back, this season will be a challenge and scrap. Relish it, get behind the team, and remember what it used to be like being the underdogs and getting surprise wins like that vs Man Utd (6-3, 3-1, 1-0, 2-1). That is the level we are at at the moment, a relegation dog fight team.
As fans we need to get behind the whole team, the manager and the club and relish opportunities to get wins. To many fans have gotten used to dickign league 1 and league 2 teams and forgotten what it means to be a saints fan imho.
-
It was bad enough the last time he took us down.... Portsmouth welcoming him back after sending the scummers down etc etc. Can you frigging imagine if it happened again. Even if he wasn't a cheating, tax dodging saggy pair of beef curtains, which he is, he would not be worth that risk. Utter Bull****

F*ck off. Why is this b*llocks even on our forum?
Quality reply! This is 100% response this should be getting! People shouldn't even consider this rumour is true!

Despite the majority of fans wanting him to be give more time it seems that the momentum behind him not being here much longer increases by the day.
He looked a broken man on Saturday and virtually admitted he was on the way out when he said he didn't know how long he had left. There is a lack of public support for the club for a manager clearly feeling the strain. confirmation at the weekend from the manager that he is not fully In control of team affairs and transfers. As well as the now growing rumours he is set to be replaced by one of the two most despised managers in this clubs history.
The reality is that these rumours that been gathering momentum since promtion and Niges reaction to it when he talked about a parting of ways. It was said then all did not seem well between him and Cortese and rumours during the summer of verbal sackings and Cortese wanting to replace him with a bigger name have gathering pace since the season started. The Star ran the Redknapp story back in Spetember and it was dismissed as bullsh*t but this seems to be withering at pace.
Now before people accuse me of haing and agenda this isn't a pop at Cortese and I believe that Adkins should be given more time, but given his current position and the fact that it seems it's a case of when and not if, is he in an untenable position?
I just don't know to be honest. His interview on saints player made it look like he wanted to cry to be honest.
I think he has it in his locker, hell, i think the team have it in their lockers to be better than this. We outplayed man utd, smashed villa and really should have won against fulham.... so why the hell isn't it working. What is going on exactly? Even adam seemed more depressed than should be warranted after a 4-1 drumming when we should have nabbed some points - if not all 3 at half time! Makes you wonder if the players feel he is a dead man walking as well.
But then, this has been the case many times before and he is still here. NC did give him a whopper contract very early on, he is NC's man after pardew, and whichever way you look at it, he has spent a colossal amount of money on transfers for adkins to use - all of which I think are decent additions in their own right.
I also think that if NC wanted him gone.... then he'd be long gone and over the hill by now? surely? NC is not a man who messes around when it comes to what he wants?
To be honest, I am wondering if this is NC's way of motivating Nigel - making him really worry for his job?? NC seems a hard if decent man from what I have seen? He likes Nigel, Nigel has done well for him and been loyal... and I think under those criteria there is certainly respect from NC, if perhaps not sympathy.
Who knows... But I would keep Nigel even if we get relegated, to me, he deserves a full season in the premier... worse managers than him have been given that chance, and have not always won promotions to get it. Also, it was always a 3 year plan, and our transfers would allow us to go down and be okay for a season or 2 without a firesale? Maybe that is the backup plan, if all else fails, get relegated... keep most of the squad, and bounce back?

In Sri Lanka so not sure I can listen to this on a remote hotels WiFi. However I will be following the threads so keep em upto date! Come on saints. A gud win here could safe our season... A bad defeat could easily be bye bye Nigel! It's got a lot riding on it!
