Not sure I watched the same game. It was a flat, poor performance where the front 2 did not get any service. At least Mayuka ran at them, nothing else was troubling the defence. Rickie got some useful flick ons, but not his game. Again not sure why De Ridder gets stick. He really ran at them and was hacked down a couple of times, he also put in a great cross that was cleared off the line. Don't think he did a lot wrong. Adkins just does not have many options I think we need to accept this, we just can't cope when players like AL go missing. A lot of fans say Mayuks should start, he gets no service then fans say, get J Rod on. We need to buy in Jan if there is money in the pot.

Not quite sure why he was getting excited about a possible penalty for Reading when Tabb did not even appeal, or for the Fonte shirt pull when this goes on at every corner in every game..Shut up! BTW welcome back Kelvin. Not so sure why so many fans are negative about him when he had many good games last year. It seems that unless your name is Guly fans accept poor games from outfield players, yes Kelvin started poorly, but we should not be quick to 'chuck him away.'

Good to see Pardew and Ricky shake hands during the game. There are so many negative headlines in football, this will not get any press but good to see. BTW want to apologise for saying Gazza should be dropped for Davis after the last game, great game today...Taxi!

I will be the first to say that was not impresssed with Kelvin at the start of the season, but he kept us in many games last season notably Leeds away. Gazza has done ok but just think there is a mistake in him. MoD highlighted this, does not fill me with any confidence. Seeing Ruddy yesterday shows how important it is to have a top class keeper at this level. OK so Kelvin is no Ruddy or Foster, but I think he deserves another go. When it goes pear shaped (if he comes back into the team) I'm getting a taxi! Butland...what a crucial signing that could have been yet another good potential signing slipped away.
