The most depressing thing about this now is we never managed to get the "We got the Toby All-der-world in our hands" song going.

Arsenal are not well tun. They did nothing about wilshires appealing behaviour the other week.If Spurs are so much worse, why do arsenal fans obsess about them? It's because they're worried. Spurs are up and coming, soon will have superior finances to arsenal, younger more passionate team and higher class training facilities.
They may not have progressed as much as us recently, because they're at a higher level to start, but they are a good club and I really like they're fan base.
You complain about whining fans but just look at this site...
Here we have an 18 year old Spurs fan deciding to register to a saints forum pretending to be a saints fan...... What a life

Firstly how did Spurs poach your manager. MP made it very clear he was walking, saw no point in staying if the man that he thought had put SFC where they were, Cortese ,was gone. SFC got rid of Cortese. When managers leave they usually take the back room staff/coaches and players. What makes SFC so different?
Also your club supposedly broke an agreement to let MS go. Spurs have taken none of your players. Yet Liverpool have taken 4 and Man U 1, soon to be 2, and Woolwich wanderers Chambers.
Where's the hate? After all 'who the **** is Pochettino?'
As for Spurs jumping you with Bale, I doubt we sent men to your clubs door when your were in financial ruin, which was nobody's fault but yours.
You chose to renegotiate Bale's sell on clause. Why his and not Walcott's. I suggest because at the time Bale was considered a flop and you thought keeping the sell on clause with Theo would be the better option. It's not Spur's fault you did that.
After all in 2008 Spurs tried to offload Bale to Hamburg to Jol for £6m. If this was before you took the £3m or after, both parties obviously thought Bale was not a great left back.
Obviously your owners thought Bale would never get £12m in the market and £3m was having Spurs over.
Alternierend was not your player. His loan ended on the 30th June. As early as June 6th AM advised they would be paying the £1.5m buy out. You were reluctant to get into a bidding war were you not?
It was a stupid loan to have. AM do that as standard to hedge their bets. They did it with Mario Suarez. It was obvious if they got offered more they would buy back the option.
Anyway, the player has to want to go. He chose Spurs.
Liverpool you finished above. You have never finished above spurs in the EPL. You have sold player to Liverpool who have only made the TOP 5 once since 2009 and realistically are just as much your 'rivals'. Spurs have finished above Liverpool since 2009, bar once - when they had no European football.
Yet you have no animosity towards Liverpool who you have sold to again despite finishing above them?
Get over it.
Thanks for your time random supporter of the ****e team in North London, a couple of points
Poch kept saying "Don't worry I have 1 year left on my contract" You did poach him and Mitchell. You tried with Jay Rod and Morgan with laughable offers.
As for never finishing above you in the Premier League I suggest you do your research, can't be a very good 'Fan' of the club if you didn't realise we finished above you in the 2002-3 season where we also stuffed you 4-0 on the way to the final of the F.A cup.

Again though, it shouldn't be a choice of go and support a top 4 team or accept we are going to sell off a load of players every summer. Other teams manage not to do this, look at the likes of Everton and Swansea.
Because Everton are bigger than us and Swansea's players don't turn out to be as good as ours, except Bony oh and Allen, apparently
Also Mirallas won't sign a new deal and Lukaku won't be there forever. We just seem to buy/Develop more high quality players than them, which is a good thing surely

I think we'll go young and Dutch, possibly 1 of these 3
1-Sven van beek 20, youth apps for Holland, 41 apps Dutch League-Played under Koeman
2-Terence Kongolo 21, 2apps Holland 54apps Dutch League-Played under Koeman
3-Virgil van Dijk 23, youth apps for Holland 62 apps Dutch League, 71 apps Scottish League- From Celtic who we always seem to buy players from!
We have no chance of top 4 in the short-medium term so we might as well sign young players and develop them, hope they're loyal or sell them off to the highest bidder. That's the way it is, if you don't like it go support one of the elite. We are not them.

I'm going to think of it this way:If I was a foreign player, and using Germany as an example, played really well on loan at Hoffenheim, and then at the end of the season Dortmund came in for me with more fans, higher wages and higher prestige, would you not move? This is basically how Toby will see us...
We can say the same for Clyne's move- ofc us Saints fans would be loyal to Southampton, but say you were playing well for Sunderland and then a move to Liverpool arose- we'd all jump at the move. Clyne's a London local- I never expected his loyalty to lie with the Saints.
I just with our players could follow players like Reus or Gundogan
both signed contracts which ensures that Dortmund get a decent fee... Guess there is no loyalty in English football.
Isn't Hoffenhiem a tiny village with a population of 3,000 and something, can't really compare them to saints although I get your point

I just hope Spurs have an awful start, Toby's hamstrings carry on giving him grief and Poch gets the boot by xmas. Premier league is becoming more and more competitive, Harry Kane will get less space and time this season and more attention. Hope De Gea goes to Madrid, Loris to United. You can't say many if any of these fixtures are 'bankers'
Finally lets hope that #WeMarchOn #UpTheSaints

Another 3 names if we fancy being really ambitious.
Chancel Mbemba, Aymen Abdennour, Antonio Rudiger
Would old Radhi Jaidi be able to have a word with him joining, haven't seen much of him but he's class on all the FM's

We obviously made "noise" to the BBC and Simon peach etc Koeman even acknowledged legal wranglings in his presserThen someone was sacked at the club
Losing Toby because he wanted to sign for Spurs. Fair enough, they are bigger better and richer.
But to mug ourselves off with the whole legal bit was a bit odd
This better bit I don't get off some of our fans, last season they were lucky, very lucky
Eriksen, Kane and Loris won most of their points on there own
They might well be better with Toby and Trippier now amoungst their ranks but before when we had Toby they weren't better, they were on par with us and I think it's clear Poch and Levy knew that and acted on it. Win win for them, get a quality CB who conceded the least goals all season bar Chelsea and weaken the competition.

We'll bring in someone else, so probably not.We might have to play 60+ games this season so probably will.

I rate Yoshida, barely put a foot wrong last year, obviously we'll sign someone but he'll have to be bloody good. Not too keen on this Ogbonna guy myself

Yoshida's time to shine. Go on son. Take the league by storm. Could be his first year where he gets to play 30+ games for us.

Can't believe Clyne's retweeted this

If AM have missed triggering the £1.5m buy back clause, why are we now offering 20m euros when the original contract says we only have to offer the original 6.8m?well it was 10m euros so if true we are offering double that.

Can they 'un-accept' an offer that they've already agreed?!Off course they can, if nothing is signed and sealed that is.

I see it's already posted, this 'done deal' 'having medical yesterday, today and probably tomorrow' 'Deal imminent' stuff is just mental if he's not actually having one or close to a deal.
Happened with our other defectors but not to this extreme scale.

The agent of Toby Alderweireld has said there currently isn't an agreement in place with anyone. #THFC
Vic Alderweireld: "We have a concrete agreement with no one." #THFC
Vic Alderweireld: "There are conversations right and left but currently there are no changes from the last few weeks." #THFC
Vic Alderweireld: "We're still early in the transfer window. So we wait as we did in previous years." #THFC

As i said before this was pretty much a done deal at the weekend with Spurs. I'm not sure how the whole legal action will affect proceedings and nor are Spurs but they think he's their player - '99% done'. Will hopefully know more in the next couple of hours.Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
You always say "As i said before" when everything you say is on SSN and websites all over the internet, I don't think you know anything more than any other saints fan

One thing is for sure, Spurs and the bin dippers have made Man U more likeableFor sure! Spurs and Liverpool's tactics the last two summers has been to disrupt our rise, I mean there's dozens of quality CB's, RB's, AM's, Target men, Head scouts and Managers all over the world but they had to purge ours. Spurs will have 6 first team CB's on there books if they don't sell any and Liverpool have nearly a dozen attacking midfielders!

Its the first test on Wednesday....have we lost the Ashes already??
If Alpine had said that I'd be far more inclined to agree, we are one of the best run clubs in the world FFS Alpine and are clearly punching above our weight, I don't believe we're going to stand still or go down either, we'll just keep trying to get amoungst the heavy weights year on year. What a time to be a saints fan we've never had it so good in my lifetime!
Are you just an attention seeker? That seems to me to be the most sane explanation

Spurs drifting from 1/4 on to 5/6 JOINT favs with us! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/toby-alderweireld/club-after-summer-transfer-window
We have gone from 11/4 to 5/6 since the 5th
Please say this means something positive for us
likelyhood is it's just punters placing bets since the legal mumbo jumbo came out
The Alderweireld has signed for Spurs so who should we sign instead thread?

Well if Van Beek has more to learn and is expected to move to a big club in a year or two then Southampton is the perfect place
