  1. If we were to get a Belgian with an Afro - I'd go with Witsel. Lower wages, affordable transfer fee and better eyebrows

Zenit spent £30m on him - can't see him being cheap on either front.

Every player we will sign will be between 21-24 with at least 70-100 first team caps and 1-10 international caps - and likely not play for a top side.

  2. It's not the content of the video that's alarming/reassuring. It's the fact that the club would put a video on their official channel on how contract talks were going with their manager. Who is their audience? It's not Koeman or the board. It can only be fans and press. Since when has any club cared that much about what is in the press - certainly no club goes out of it's way to clear up every possible transfer/management/player rumour there is. At best Les is using the video to stick a 'bugger off' message on Koeman to send to Everton, Arsenal etc. So it leaves us with the video trying to reassure the fans, which just seems bizzare. Bizzare timing, bizzare message to want to convey (not Les' words, but the video idea itself). Why do fans need to know this, but not for them trying to stir up a positive image of the club?

I hope to God he signs an extension, I thought he would and still think he will, based on Koeman's character and past comments. But the video seems very oddly placed.

I think you over thinking things a touch here.

His name is in every newspaper in hte land connected with most jobs; Everton, Arsenal, Barcelona etc... They just put this out there to explain the time constraints in getting a new contract sorted - for the fans.

  3. just shows was reasonable pricing can do.

You only have to look at how many fans (a lot of which are not season ticket holders) that got tickets for the FA cup game at SMS against Palace because it was reasonably priced.

A lot aren't going to be west ham fans - a bunch of people at work got them to see the top 5/10 when the come to town - it's going to be awkward when Sunderland come to town and there's 25k in the ground.

  4. If the last few years have taught us anything - it's that's have an extremely strong framework for players to succeed, unlike other places.

With regard to players wanting to leave - **** em, see you later - you will be replaced and we will improve. Really glad Bertrands name wasn't in there - at least we have a basically solid back 5 to slot attackers on top of. Much easier to look good going forward when you have a defensive unit that you can trust.

    Complete faith in the board.

  5. You can't go anywhere with people who don't want to be somewhere.

Leicester are the classic example this year - a tight bunch who all wanted the same thing.

Mane, tadic, Pelle & Wanyama had bad patches this year for this exact reason.

Get top ££££ - bring in people like VVD, Long, JRod etc.. Who want to be here and listen to the media say how do they do it again next May.

  6. Theo Janssen and Denis Praet have been heavily linked.

They would be great and realistically around our level - shame it would mean losing Pelle who does give us a good option up front.

If it was Janssen, Praet and someone to replace Wanyama & Stek I would be pretty happy with that.

Our forward Line of Austin, Long, Janssen, JRod, Mane, Tadic, Praet would be ridiculously strong compared to a couple of years ago.

  7. On another note West Hams public approaches for all these players is extremely embarrassing.

Going to be awkward when they can't sign anyone...

The best thing about this club when it comes to transfers is they are normally quiet and not talked about much.

Every striker who gets approached now knows they are 4th/5th choice behind lacazette, Walcott, batshuyhi, Callum Wilson etc...

  9. I can't imagine they will signs right back or a centre back this summer.

Depends on what happens to Wanyama and Mane - think Pelle will go back to Italy and he will be hard to replace - most strikers are ****ing expensive and not all that much better.

A AMC to replace SD is key. Bradley Dack might be a good squad option to bring into the group and then 18-20m on some European superstar (or gylfi).

  10. How are they going to offer the latter with FFP?

    FFP - hahahaa

They have oil money now - seems fitting for Everton they get oil money when the price of oil is going through the floor.

  11. if Liverpool finish 7th and win the Europa League and United Win the FA cup then the last Europa league spot goes back to the league and 7th or 8th gets it (depending on where Liverpool finish). There's 1 spot for the league and 1 for each cup (winner) and Champions League for the Europa League winner.

There's lots of ways for us to qualify - having to rely on United to win a game would be irritating tho - i'm more confident of Bournemouth doing them at Old Trafford than them beating palace.

  12. Europa League Final is on the 18th (next Wednesday), no one is going to be taking any chances in the Liverpool squad to get injured.

2-2 WetSpam/Utd - this should be an excellent game.

1-2 Liverpool/Chelsea - this will be a ****ing dull game.
