Haha wouldn’t half surprise me if they get him in as a pundit on the box. Probably with that Matterface commentating - is he a skate?

Was born in London, and spent early years at QPR, so would assume other than being around it since 12 there most likely isn’t any family connection as ‘supporters’. They’ll have more local lads around their camp as players, Swift, Chaplin and Pack (injured). We’ve got more in the coaching set up Lallana, Surman and McQueen all in the club. Plus would always back Franny and Le Tiss to let ‘em know exactly how much it matters. They both seem to be in around the squad quite a lot. Media team asking specific questions in interviews to the newbies suggest it’s not going under the radar.

Segecic is a starter and had a really good start of the season for them. Australia playing in New Zealand Tuesday morning (BST) will most likely mean he won’t be back until Thursday earliest. Tight turnarounds given they most likely won’t charter for a friendly due to the cost. We’ve got 5 ‘starting 11’ away, probs Charles (who is back Monday), Manning, Robinson (wouldn’t start him in this one anyway), Bazunu and Azaz. So all of the new lads, minus Azaz, will be getting 2 weeks worth of training. Thats probs best scenario in a crap timing break.

Some good business done so far but yesterday was glaringly obvious we need a decent ST - someone in the Sargent mould. Stewart might well become it, but I question whether he’ll be able to play 2 games a week, let alone 3. Downs just isn’t it and needs to develop hugely. Archer was okay yesterday, and clearly a finisher, but doesn’t get involved in build up enough for me to lead the line. Armstrong needs to be sold (Rangers anyone?) as his motivation has gone - similar to how Dwight Gayle lost it after the realisation they’ll never be better than the Championship. Unless he’s now going to be behind Fellows (imagine he’s a top earner so not really feasible) and personally prefer Fraser.

Chapel Road a buffer zone? Surely can’t have the coaches there otherwise residents won’t be able to get out.
-
Yep. Looks like it may well have sold out - finally!
-
Do we know if this is sold out yet? Surely the club have to reduce the membership ask or open it up for additional season ticket holders?
-
Where have you seen we get the whole end? Seen a few of the Mockney few mention it but nothing from a source. Hopefully Wetherspoons is open and thriving in January. Make a point of not purchasing anything from their dump - beer included.

Brighton did for Rutter!

This is what should happen and is best for all parties. Get him to sign a new deal with a ‘fair’ wage. If rumours are to be believed, we offered a deal relative to what other 18/19 year olds are on - he’s not a normal 19 year old and is clearly better than a lot round him. Agent thinks he warrants more money…compare him to what some of our ‘better players’ are on you’d probably say he’s right…imagine being offered a wage below what your fellow teammates are on when you’re clearly better? Could be where the he felt disrespected line came from before Xmas. New deal, with a clause for x amount if we fail to go up. We get guaranteed money, a decent player. He gets game time and the option we won’t slap a silly fee on him if we stay in the Championship. He won’t start for any decent prem side just yet - needs to develop his off the ball work and final product.

He also went on a run of 20 games, with 3 wins, before that. He alluded when he first came here he knows that won't be accepted. I care about results, but when you're fighting for autos you need performances alongside it, and other teams to come away from games saying 'not much we can do against that quality'. The mood would be a lot different if we had played like that Wednesday 2nd half in some of our games. So far we've had Plymouth, Norwich and QPR managers saying they should have got 3 points and Ipswich/Sunderland players coming out and saying we're predictable - I can't say I disagree with any of them as they all had better chances than us. We should be seeing signs, like Leicester and Leeds are, that his style is starting to take hold and be understood. We're not getting worse, just being punished now against better teams. Performances point towards midtable. If by some miracle we really outscore our way back into the Premier League, can you imagine what teams like Brentford, West Ham and Brighton would do to us? Not even the 'top 6'.
-
This. The style only works if players have 1/2 touches and then others move to create openings. We don't do that meaning there is no excitement/build up outside mistakes from the opposition (see Leicester goal). You even have Ipswich fans commenting on how slow and boring we were to watch. Who knows where we'll end up this season but can see a big drop off in numbers and even worse atmospheres to come.

Gio, you keep comparing Football to the theatre or other services. As someone stated in another post, football is tribal - so that doesn't match up. If Saints lose, we shouldn't, but do take it personally and react. Do i think individuals should boo Bazunu for not kicking long? no. Are people entitled to express how they feel? Yes - so stop expecting people to think like you. The way you're going on you'd think the whole stadium screamed abuse at 0-0. In reality, after going 2 down people became frustrated, as I'd hope players would too. Every successful side will say far worse to each other in the changing rooms, than a couple of fans expressing their annoyance with a pass/shot. If you don't like the support around you, move to another area where you might find people with a similar outlook to you. It's quite simple.

The problem with this club is standards have dropped, referenced by players last year. Since 2017 we've had one of the worst home records in Europe, except a period during lockdown when fans couldn't attend (i worked it out last year and it was 31 wins in 6 years, or very close to). I actually think the atmosphere start of last season and this year were good - they now need to show something back as we haven't had a decent (comfortable) home performance since Brentford when SR took over. I don't begrudge fans getting frustrated. Results business, as the board are about to find out with empty seats tomorrow. Not entitled enough to think we deserve wins, but I expect if we do lose, it's not a battering, not with our squad in this league. .

Would hope we give some of the youngsters a run out. If they aren't ready for league two opposition, when are they ready? Bazunu Bree Simeu ABK (Get minutes in the tank if he's still around and fit) Larios/Perraud Charles Doyle Aribo SAA Ballard Mara? (Seems to have done a disappearing act in training) Bench: Bycroft, KWP, Lyanco, Finnigan, JWP, Dibling, S Armstrong, Onuachu, Djenepo
