Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Share Posted 30 August, 2008 I tried it with one of the other Siemens routers and the steps seemed similar to what I have but at the last step I don't really get what I have to do. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Siemens/GigasetSE551/Football_Manager_2006.htm At the bottom it says: We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. I don't see those lines and I haven't got a clue how to open the 10093-10094 ports. Is it me or is that description rather vague?
exit2 Posted 30 August, 2008 Share Posted 30 August, 2008 basic port forwarding is to 1. create a rule / application i.e FM08 2. type in the port numbers 10093-94 and the type inthe local address of your pc / server on your network (192.168.0.1 or what ever it is) This also depends on if you have a static ip for your router. Basically any network traffic on ports 10093 hits your router and it then forwards to your pc/ server
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Share Posted 30 August, 2008 As you see on the last picture on the link I posted there's local and public ports, where do I type the 10093-10094?
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Share Posted 30 August, 2008 I think I might have it working but I'm not entirely sure. I can get it working between my two home computers now but then its listed as a local network. Would that make a difference? Is there perhaps someone I could test it with?
