Saintandy666 Posted 20 June, 2009 Share Posted 20 June, 2009 Well, I think that... - League wanted Pinnacle to agree to no appeal against 10 point deduction. - Piannacle refused to do so, so no deal has happened and exclusivity has ended. - Because of this Mark Fry has opened the possibilty discussions with other consortiums. - And the football league are to hold an emergency meeting regarding us on monday. Anyone who knows otherwise, just correct me. I want to know why the league don't just let us appeal if they have such a great case against us? But I guess it's their competition so they can do whatever the hell they want. I would also say Pinaccle aren't out of it yet, especially as they have paid £500,000 to get exclusivity. They will not want that to go down the drain. Either way, the next move is with the Football League when they meet on monday.
matthieu Posted 20 June, 2009 Author Share Posted 20 June, 2009 oh ok so does anyone know what exactly the FL will be debating on monday? whether we should have had 10points deducted or if they should allow us to appeal? to be honest i have to question pinnacle here, yes in an ideal world we'd start on 0 points but if they were that keen to take over the club surely they would have just agreed 2 the FL stipulations??? That's what I thought at first, but I guess if they have a watertight case they know they can win, why should they accept it and back down. There has also been talk of whether the issue is really over the -10 points or the -15 extra points which could follow. Behind the group is a financial backer who will eventually want a return and on -25, it is even more unlikely to happen.

matthieu Posted 20 June, 2009 Author Share Posted 20 June, 2009 oh well I suppose only time will tell, I am getting rather bored and peed of about all of this, it is infact turning me very quickly off football which is something i'd never thought i'd say, but it is. I don't know if I'm alone on this view but that Marc Jackson guy sounds dodgy and the swiss group is kind of an unknown, but if the pinnacle group didn't take over, and we had someone else, i'd feel as if they shouldn't be there and not support them fully. I thought he said this issue would be the same for any bidder, therefore not a pinnacle issue and everything was on hold until FL meeting. I don't think it is open to other bidders
