thorpie the sinner Posted 23 February, 2011 Share Posted 23 February, 2011 Sorry guys, more of the same although this is a positive slant! It struck me last night that fate seems to be conspiring in our favour! Without playing recently, the results went our way! Last night we ground out a point which could be invaluable come judgement day against a team who have beaten the top teams already! In turn, the teams around us couldn't capitalise again! Just have a feeling we will go up automatically albeit in second place (which incidently doesn't bother me in slightest) as the Gods seem to be fighting in our corner! Keep winning the home games boys!!
notnowcato Posted 23 February, 2011 Share Posted 23 February, 2011 Hats off to Brighton if they continue to stay top for the rest of the season, they deserve to be champions if they complete the job. Still a long way to go yet. Overall I don't think this is a bad point.
Wycombe Saint Posted 23 February, 2011 Share Posted 23 February, 2011 I am glad i have kept to my new years resolution of not coming on here straight after a draw/defeat. Some people really do react so badly to results. I am in agreement with the OP in that surprisingly the world hasnt ended today (and from what a lot of people are saying on the reaction thread you would have thought it had.) And we havent lost any ground as the teams around us all seem to be as inconsistant as us. At the end of the day, there is always another game and we will be singing from the rooftops if we beat Swindon.
The Dogman Of Bassett Posted 23 February, 2011 Share Posted 23 February, 2011 If people really have to analyse our entire promotion credentials after every game then ours is a point gained last night whereas Bournemouth, Peterborough and Huddersfield are most definitely 2 points dropped. All that matters is where we are after 46 games; leagues are not won and play off places are not decided in February with 17 games remaining! Ups and downs, smiles and frowns. We have games in hand on all around us, lots of very winnable games plus exciting visits to the current top 2.
