Track days

Anyone been on a track day, got the big 40 coming up and looking at spending the day ragging some fast cars round a track, any recommendations?

Mr TF took his Subaru to one at Thruxton and had a great time. He's also done a 'Ferrari' day at Silverstone and we both did a 'Lotus' day in Norfolk (but I think that's a corporate thing - it was when we did it). That was awesome

Did a track day for a B'day a few years ago with Nigel Mansel school of racing. Not sure if they are around now. Spent the day at Brands with 10-15 laps is a BMW M3, driving with an intructor. This was followed by a number of Laps being driven by the instructor. That was a real eye opener seeing how fast you can actually go round corners. This was followed by 10-15 laps in a single seater. Downside was it rained over lunch so the track was greasey, if you spun the car or went off your driving session was over so you had to be careful. Would recommend for a good day.
