Thedelldays Posted 3 December, 2008 Share Posted 3 December, 2008 burnley will (apparently) give those who bought season tickets at the start of this season a free renewal should they get promoted... well done I say...(if true)
Saint Stimp Posted 3 December, 2008 Share Posted 3 December, 2008 are you suggesting we do the same if we get relegated?
sandwichsaint Posted 3 December, 2008 Share Posted 3 December, 2008 Probably true, Charlton offered the same last year. Rationale being that ticket prices are a relatively small slice of income in the Prem v TV/appearance/prize money. Fills the ground for CCC games and generates positive home support, generates cash flow in the CCC season, locks in fans and families to the football habit (Charlton still had high renewal rates this season even though they didn't go up). Looking at the timing Burnley must be offering it against a half ST for Xmas-May? Fair play to 'em. Looks like a win/win for the club and the fans (It'll never catch on at SMS then)
Icey Saint Posted 3 December, 2008 Share Posted 3 December, 2008 think Charlton made a similar offer when they were relegated from the Prem if they got promoted straight back up
