lordswoodsaints Posted 31 March, 2018 Share Posted 31 March, 2018 Like I’ve said all along, the players are playing themselves into a better contract at another club when the old relegation clause kicks in and as much as I dislike Hughes as a manager, we are stuck with him, he was never going to be the right man for the job but to be honest nobody was, the task to stay up is just too damn hard with the players we have and their attitudes. You can bet your life that the majority of the first teams have feathered their nests elsewhere in anticipation of our relegation, and Hughes is in a win win situation because he can just walk away from the mess that’s left, shrugging his shoulders, counting his money and saying ‘I tried my best’. The whole thing stinks and although we can stay up it’ll only be for another season unless things drastically change, which I can’t see happening.
