It's a firm no for me but even if I did entertain it, his record at Almeria was pretty similar to SR, if not worse. This was lifted from Daily Echo's story on it:
"Alalshikh was owner of Egyptian club Pyramids from 2018 to 2019, and owned Spanish club UD Almeria between August 2019 and May 2025. Almeria won promotion from the second tier in 2022 but were relegated back out of La Liga, and finished sixth this season in Liga Segunda."
Also, for those saying he'd be great just because of his wealth - let’s not forget, old mate Dragan has a similar net worth. There’s no reason to believe this guy would throw in significantly more. And to be fair to SR, spending money hasn’t really been the issue - it’s how that money’s been spent. Be careful what you wish for - this isn’t what Southampton needs.
