even though i posted my reservations above i will still pay the price for myself and 2 sons but the club , like the rest of football, is pushing its luck and playing on our loyalty.
They would be wise to bear in mind that in little over 4 months they will be asking me for £800 up front for next season ?
-
So basically other than getting my 3 tickets earlier than everyone else because we have 3 season tickets (me and 2 sons) we will pay the same as everyone else.
WONDER what season ticket renewals will be priced at for next season.
-
i thought the title of this thread was referring to Uniteds famous grey shirts

and private companies don't take money out? PLC would want a club to be as succesful as a private owner. The only advantages for private ownership are the ease for takeover/investment talks and if the owner wants to through money at the club.
Agreed but the issue with SLH is that we are only a PLC in name because it is run like a private company because of the large proportion of shares in a few peoples hands

Exciting draw at SMS followed by another draw at Old Trafford and Saints winning on pens with Ryan Giggs missing decisive pen again and Kelvin running the length of pitch to celebrate in front of 7000 Saints fans after saving penalty :-)
those were the days!!!!!!!!

45% of revenue goes to Manure. Of course this game is not going to clear the £5m overdraft so Lowe is spot on. A reply would make a massive difference though.
why do we have to clear the whole overdraft?
-
will be letting season ticket holders have their seats for free for their FA cup game v wolves..
good gesture if you are in a position to do so...
(i know we are no way able to do that)
David Gold also said he would like to see the FA take a lead in reducing ticket prices by each division agreeing to reduce by 17.5% every year.
he said that football crowds were getting older and that unless something was done to attract younger people the game was in massive danger.
-
Perfect
I have to work on the 3rd and son playing football at 10am on Sunday.
Thank you Setanta

do we actually know what our overdraft limit is ? and how far over it we are?
-
Being a season ticket holder that has kept this club going by my continued support, if they try to charge £32.00 - £40.00 for the game, I for one will stay at home and watch it on TV as I would classify that as a rip off of the loyalty that I have given this club in desperate times, and I would seriously consider my position for next year, whether to renew the ticket, there is taking the **** and TAKING THE ****.
agreed
i was thinking what would my limit be, handed them best part of £800 9 months ago for 3 season tickets and see this as a chance for Wilde/Lowe to reward that committment
-
I don't think we have to pay it off completely, but i think it's too big at the moment and we need to reduce it to an agreed amount so that the bank will continue to support us. This would be less of an issue if our revenue were higher but with the drop in attenances there are few options.
So does anyone other than THE BANK, david jones and rupert know what are limit may be?
Or are Lowe/Wilde playing on our fears
-
Why do we have to pay off the overdraft?
Many businesses operate with an agreed overdraft facilty
-
Is it 10%? I thought the whole of the cup was 15%.
Correct, 4500 at SMS i think not quite 15% because of segregation issues
-
Yes very true I think the team is getting better but that does not mean we are going to win lots more games.
But there appears to be a lot of support behind Jan and the team
my attitude has always been i moan a lot on here but come kick off time WHOEVER is wearing a saints shirt and trying their best will get my support.
I Blame the so called businessmen up at the top for putting good young players in positions where trying their best is still not good enough.
I really hope the club triples prices in hospitalty and boxes for this game
-
I remember back to when we got relegated in the 70's , mates stopped going but by the time we got promoted in78 most had come back.
-
Not only have we drawn the chance to show what our splendid youth policy can do against the best team in Europe on paper, but the "Get behind the team, FFS" contingent of Lowe Luv...er...Saints fans have completely thrown away their self-endowed moral superiority and completely shattered their disingenous claim to only care about the financial survival of Southampton Football Club with their completely unsolicited attacks on a significant fraction of the supporter base in response to said draw.
For me, this is the thin end of the wedge. Todays events confirm that the supporter base is totally divided from top-to-bottom, and neither side is completely moral or rational in its actions.
How is our club supposed to survive this level of acrimony and shiiit ???
just because a few pr*cks on here spout off a lot , does not mean that the supporter base is split.
Reading away and yesterday showed that , and believe me SMS will be up for it against United.
I want Rupert gone but i also want the club to raise prices for non ST HOLDERS/ regular attendees this season,
-
ha ha ha ,how many of the 'stay aways','lowe haters','im not going again until lowe goes','i only want to watch saints in the prem' and the fairweathers will come sniffing around for tickets for the cup game?
ive had 2 on the blower already and i had great pleasure in telling them to fvck off.
will the stay aways be able to resist or will they change their principles?
they make me fvckin sick.
I aaume they were mates of yours, you will end up billy no mates at this rate
-
Hopefully Corners will be open and I get first refusal on my old seat like promised when they made us move.
that will be interesting to see if club keeps promise
-
Up the cost of the empty boxes and corporate hospitality to repay all those who deserted the club on relegation.
extra £1 for every g and t
-
I hope this is not on TV.
Season ticket holders should be offered tickets at £15, everyone else should be £30.
Agreed although it should be extended to Members/Anyone WHO can prove they have been to all home games.
Up price to £35 for rest
-
I have put it on my list that has been sent to Santa.
so did i and my 2 sons have bought it , i think.
will make a good read i hope
-
Thanks for clearing that up GM and good to hear you're back safe and sound!!!!
It's a well established fact that EBC and HCC between them pulled the plug on the Stoneham Project, for a number of reasons (and not all of them just linked directly to the extra bits added on by Lowe).
if i remember correctly did the skate leader of HCC " Emery Wallis " also do everything he could to oppose stoneham, plus the residents
-
man utd at home and up the prices for everyone who is not a season ticket holder or seen 6 home games this season
-
