I thought they'd be selling not loaning. . They have had a look and now want to move on. We might want a loan I suppose.
-
Should have done a Fergie and signed him immediately after he ran our defence ragged in the friendly last summer. Some of us beat that drum all last summer.
-
Obviously we dont know for sure as we only have newspaper reports to go on, but it will likely be 20% of the profit, not the full £55m (assuming that's the final figure). So, 20% of £44m, assuming he was signed for £11m last summer. Roughly £8.8m in other words.

I'm not familiar with this F scale. The course demands a big lad to win headers. Not sure he is that. He reminds me of higginbottom. Alright, but not quite 'right' at either cb or fullback.
-
Me too. That would be a better tune actually.
-
First eleven looks solid and settled. I fancy them, Ipswich and Hull.
-
Got momentum. Built a good side last summer. Really like Leif Davis at fullback.
-
Can't see the Painsil swap deal happening. Swap deals are too complicated. Too many moving parts. You missed Djenepo and AA. Lots of bodies.
-
We employ doctors and physios to sort out injuries. You don't let players go off and do their own thing. I think Martin is just covering up a player not turning up to training. Its a common tactic. I could be wrong. But it stinks.
-
Do you not think a ball winner would be better for us than a 'baller'?
-
Yeah, I dont get that too. He's gone in my eyes, although Everton seem to have a few wide players as options. We may be left holding the baby. That could be painful.
-
Good point. That could work. I think the trouble is, clubs will know he doesn't want to play for us and offer a derisery amount for him next summer too. You'd of thought everything would have been agreed in January, as our survival was in massive doubt. Pretty disappointed. Not surprised. Star players want to be in the Prem. They all do.
-
I guess the Saudis might buy him for £200m next summer...
-
Very likely, I'd say. He'll no doubt be miffed that we dont want to loan him and are asking for at least our money back from Everton. I bet his agent has told him to stay at home to force us to sell him for less than his worth.
-
He clearly rates himself very highly. Perhaps rightly. I dont see him ever playing for us again. We ain't loaning him to Everton and then welcoming him back with open arms next summer when we get promoted. We will loan him only if we can't get someone to buy him.
-
He's not like Jos in terms of footballing attributes though. Much better with the ball, not as good in the air.
-
That's the issue for me. He's not a big powerful CB. He's a ball player, which we obviously want, but will he win every single defensive set piece header? I know it's prehistoric stuff, but it's the first requirement for a CB.
-
Sulemana is out of here. If you are injured, the club doesn't let you go to get 'specialised treatment'. That's bollocks. I'm guessing he just isn't turning up for training as he wants to push a transfer through.
-
Called it yesterday. Genk definitely interested, but they ain't going to offer much in the way of a fee. They will wait until last minute to try and get the best deal.
-
That's what I'd like to see. The net spread a little wider. Harder to attract good players from abroad when in championship, but Swansea signed Piroe for £1m, so it can be done.
-
No one is buying him. If the club are interested, as has been rumoured, let's plan him and see how he fairs.
-
Burnley also loaned a number of players. I went through the top ten championship sides last season and they all loan Prem players.
-
He took a cut because he didn't play enough games last season according to the athletic. If he took a 40% cut too, he may be on a much lower wage than before. Edit: ah, I can see that was mentioned already.
-
I mentioned him on the hcdajfu thread last summer. Since then He again scored goals and he's only got a year left, so yes, I think we'd still be talking about him. We'll, some of us would be...
-
If Che goes, he ain't going for free. If ABK goes he ain't going for free. So there is every chance that we bring in more money for those two. Downes will cost money, be it a loan fee or transfer and so would the 'two more' (let's assume one is Piroe) you mention, which is also the number I said. So, all in all you seem to be agreeing with me, so no idea why you posted 'dreamworld'. Unlike with JWP, we seem to be singing off the same hymn sheet.
