  1. Like us, Palace don't play wing backs, so whether Spence is quite right for them and can be as successful as he was at Forrest, I am not sure.
  2. Transfemarkt suggests there was a €1.75m fee. If that is correct, it seems a considerable amount to fork out to `plug a gap' in the u21s. Not sure why you would offer a three year contract either unless you had serious hopes of him progressing into our first team.
  3. no, it's probably someone from Kashima Antlers
  4. Is Simeu classified as an u21? He's 21, so wasn't sure.
  5. I think he has been well liked by the fans at clubs due to good social media, but not sure he has been hugely impressive. Small had a woeful loan at Port Vale (not getting in the match day squad) and then a difficult loan in Scotland, getting sent off a couple of times. Still only 19, so could still come good, but needs to start making progress.
  6. Their record signing cost about £6m and Onuachu wage will be bigger than anything Genk have ever paid, even with a relegation cut, probably.
  7. do you know if that's on loan or a permanent move?
  8. Could work, but what if he is on £50k here, Everton will pay him £40k, but he wants £70k. Then what? Do de pay £30k a week for him to play for Everton. Fuck no.
  9. Simeu is more experienced than Awe. He's a senior player, so he can't be discounted. We still have to pay him. Lyanco won't be released. You don't release players with years left on their contract. That's like burning money. He may depart, but it's not looking likely at this moment in time. ABK departs and another will come in. For sure. One in, one out.
  10. Is Simeu injured? Very little talk about him. CBs can take time to mature, but with us dropping down a division you would hope he was good enough to push for a first team place this year. Possibly another loan? Not sure we'd hear much about it until it happens. Could Ballard have been training with u21s, as they have a game n Friday?
  11. Unless someone makes a decent offer for Che/Onuachu, what can we do? Downes apart, it's most likely a one in one out situation right now.
  12. he certainly secured him decent deals at exactly the right time from us. Hope he doesn't overplay his hand this time around. Still a few slots available I guess.
  13. I wonder if he is asking for a wage similar to what he was on before it was cut due to him not playing enough first team games (i.e. about £90k a week) or a wage similar to what he has now, whatever that is? He may feel there is not much point moving (to play second fiddle) if it's on the same money, all be it at a Prem side. That said, he suspect he may feel we have messed him about/treated him unfairly, so is keen to depart. Just got to get the right deal. Certainly not one where he earns less than he does not, which may have been the case at Luton.
  14. Ah. Gotcha. Do you think when asked, RM would say "he hopes so" or do you think RM said "I hope so" and the poster was just paraphrasing? It matters not. Sulemena is out of here. The only reason he doesn't leave is if his suitor fails to meet our asking price, which so far they have.
  15. If Lyanco has a knee issue, who is going to gamble on him? I agree with you. Bednarek stays and ABK goes.
  16. No. RM hopes Sulemana stays.
  17. I make of it as, `the club are just waiting for the buyer to meet our fee demand and then he is out of here. In the eventuality that they don't, he will be here until January and then negotiations will start all over again".
  18. Me neither. Very suspect. Stalling for a possible Prem move possibly? If he was moving to Real Madrid, I suspect he'd take some Imodium and struggle through.
  19. It's just very sloppy journalism/writing in the BBC item I suspect. The Athletic confirm that its 20% of the profit. https://theathletic.com/live-blogs/transfer-news-live-latest-updates/p1gbsmRBiOat/hbHLaStzbQ3j/
  20. Not a chance Sulemana is here come the end of the window. I'd surprised if ABK was, although it might be one where we dig our heels in on the price - and it could get messy with the player seeing a move to Dortmund fade due our price. McCarthy move is hard to say. Id say Onuachu will go to Genk only if we accept a huge loss. A massive loss. It might be one where we have to swallow our pride.
  21. or saw how Onuachu was not given many games - and doesn't want to get the same treatment (justified or otherwise).
  22. not sure it is struggling to settle as such, more a case of them seeing us as a stepping stone wand having zero interest in playing for a team outside the top flight. From a career point of view, jumping ship now makes a lot of sense.
  23. any sign of Sulemana, or is he still at home getting treatment for his injury? Was Simeu there too? I'm guessing we won't let him go out on loan until our CB situation is clearer.
  24. Yep. Fee reported as £10.5m, rising to £15m. Who knows what he/we have to do for that extra £4.5m to come into play. Usually it's focused on appearances and it will likely include an amount linked to us achieving promotion, this season or next.
  25. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66502508 On the BBC website now and they have it as £53m + £5m.
