  1. except then when we were a nails width from scoring...possibly offside mind.
  2. Agreed. He hasn't tried to beat a man since he returned. Perhaps he is not fully sharp. Still unsure why we have changed the winning side with Perroud and KWP.
  3. Agreed. The side is working hard, trying to create, but just unable to. No one looks disinterested. Just a lazy comment.
  4. Oops, sorry, I forgot no one is allowed to criticise your darling Forster.
  5. don't understand that substitution. Romeu for Long? Got to try something I guess.
  6. Forster absolutely fucking killing us there.
  7. Awful? We are losing. But not sure we playing that bad.
  8. not easy to break a Prem team down when they have a lead.
  9. working incredibly hard to create a chance. Need these strikers to come up with something.
  10. great patient stuff there. Almost got Broja in. Gonna be tough from here. No space to play in.
  11. same thing happens again. Livramento can't defend the deep ball.
  12. Balls. Livramento doesn't do enough to win the header. Done by a big lad again.
  13. not a great half by his standards. A couple of mis controls when trying to hold the ball up. Might have scored if he had managed to bring an all be it tough ball down. Pretty quite too. He needs some space to run into.
  14. Agree. Ball too fast for Forster to come off his line. I think Salisu makes a slight wrong move towards the ball (just before the cross) and is then a fraction out of position and done for. Not enough pressure on Shelvey from Romeu too.
  15. We have controlled possession and worked the ball really well to get players to the byeline countless times, but all crosses cut out due to number of defenders. We've looked pretty good. Not a lot of room to play in the final third. They look dangerous on the break and could have gone ahead. Could go either way this.
  16. I think their strategy has been to play Livramento because he looked better than KWP in pre-season and then when he shined to keep playing him, until he got injured. Players are not picked to be in the shop window, they are picked to win games.
  17. On the BBC website is mentioned they can only spend £20k on an away fixture including European games. Love the thought of them having to go on a budget airline with the fans and having to stay in budget hotels...never gonna happen though.
  18. bigger clubs will have been already in discussions with Rudigar etc anyway, but you are right, the youngsters about to get a pro deal will be a genuine option for us.
  19. It will only be a bad day at the office if we bounce back on Thursday. I am not sure how accurate this is, but I get the feeling we haven't bounced back terribly well or quickly for a `bad' defeat in recent years. No just for his quality, but for confidence stakes, Salisu's return on Thursday could be massive.
  20. Agree with that, except personally I think Broja is just fine playing the entire 90.
  21. I watched it and I didn't come away thinking Bednerek, Valery, Stephens and Lyanco are great CBs. I think we got away it in that game to a certain extent. We really should have been two down. We were carved up, not too dissimilar today. The difference was we were not punished. Valery got lots of plaudit on here, but he made a massive balls up later in the game which went completely unpunished. He, like Stephens has a massive rick in him. I don't think our Cbs were put under any great pressure or ever exposed in one on one situations. Lyanco is reckless. He gets away it a lot. Maybe he blossoms, like Fonte did (he was also a bit reckless), but if he's our starting CB next season, I don't think we improve.
  22. Hmm. I don't see enough guile myself. He was bought to be a holding midfielder. Still young, but his lack of presence and physicality have been an issue to date.
  23. both of them have looked poor on other occasions. I think there are one two top class CBs that can handle one on one situations but the rest rely heavy on the right kind of protection in front and around them. Expose Mings or Bednerak and you see their frailties. Sorry, but I don't see Valery as the answer. Far too lightweight and not good enough in the air, which is the elementary requirements of a CB. I might be wrong. I often am.
  24. Is Diallo actually any good in that more forward role? I don't see him being anything more than a defensive midfielder. If he can't do that, then he needs to be replaced.
  25. It's an incredibly tough position to play these days (got to be big, strong, quick, and able to read the game and be good on the ball, pass, decent first touch...) and some of the players don't tick all the boxes. Very hard for a team on our budget to find and keep those that do.
