I keep saying this, but there is no lack of effort. The issue is what we do when we have the ball, the positions and shape of the side, and the quality of individual players. Players work hard, very hard, but chasing shadows doesnt earn kudos from fans.
-
Leicester certainly have. They played 5-3-2 and the game was up before it started
-
Leicester played well after they scored. They pressed well, they kept the ball well, their shape was spot on and the looked a threat on the break. They strangled us, just as they did at their place. Our shitness was not all down to us. They helped make us look even shitter.
-
Our lack of quality up front is a problem. it forces us to bomb players forward which leaves us exposed. When we play tighter we then have nothing going forward. Got to get better players.
-
our problem is we don't have forward players that can create enough on their own. We have to chuck fullbacks forward and that leaves us exposed and we lose. Ply more solid and we create nothing
-
Get Vestagaard up front...
-
not enough movement from the forwards.
-
not sure why we started 4-4-2. add that extra man in midfield for me.
-
about fucking time
-
Since they scored Leicester have played well. Keeping the ball well. Killing us off.
-
stick Vestagaard up front... something, anything. They look much more likely to score, but still the same 4-4-2 nothingness.
-
or power/height, or tricky players in the hole...not sure our squad make up it is all that.
-
change the fucking formation...get three up front, something different...
-
when we finally get possession and they are stretched, we simply do not break at pace. All in front of them. Far too easy for them,
-
we cant beat the press
-
actually, I think Ings should hase been greedier.
-
Adams' lack of left foot...
-
we lose the ball cheaply, they ping down the line and the rest is history.
-
lucky bastard.
-
utter garbage from Redmond. Twice he's had space and done fuck all with it. Attack mate. Run, forward, at pace...
-
why does Bertrand go forward for corners?
-
our fullbacks staying home perhaps is not a bad thing. We've been too easy to beat and fullbacks bombing on can and has left us exposed at times.
-
we've kept it reasonably tight, not chased the game too much, but ultimately their front two/three look more dangerous. I think Perez in the hole (their formation really) is a problem for us at times.
-
We need a bit more threat up front. Adams is the obvious choice, but we could do with some pace so maybe Tella. Redmond didnt see a lot of the ball but he gave it away badly once and then when the opportunity to break was there he looked like he didn't have the confidence (perhaps in his pace) to go all the way.
-
we pass it backwards because there isn't any other choice. Unless of course hit and hope is what we are after?
