Not sure which thread to post this into, but I thought our friend Turkish might be interested in the BBC title of this article.......

What is going on Turkish?

Exactly this. We get people like MLG insisting that we should wait and see how Spors gets on before giving SR any grief. Fuck that, I’ve seen enough to know how this will go. 3 years of some of the worst running of a football club anywhere in Europe, with over 90% of decisions a complete disaster. They can fuck right off. They’d be getting absolutely run out of town at most other clubs by now. They’re very lucky we are such a passive fanbase on the whole but I think even our fanbase is on the verge of collectively giving them both barrels now
PASSIVE? PASSIVE? How can you say that? I am on the verge of writing an extremely strongly worded letter to SR......or maybe I'll leave it a couple of weeks and see how things pan out.

Travelling back now, usual time wasted watching this bunch of cunts masquerading as a football team, they're laughing at us putting in performances like that, Chelsea have some decent players but you'd never know as we gifted them goals anyway .
That defence reminded me of my Sunday league days when short of players and someone's 60 year old Dad would make up the numbers , utter shambles and not an ounce of pride amongst the lot of them.
Who is this 60 year old Dad and is he any good? Perhaps HCDAJFU

The prick (Rasmus) has a face like a smacked arse and that was even before the game started. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d been informed that Spores now controls recruitment for SR and that he now has the everyday management of Goztepe in the main.
I wouldn't put him in charge of the the burger/chip van opposite St Mary's. He's somehow manage to fuck that up. "I ordered a burger.....and this is a sausage"
0-3 Bournemouth by the way.

If that doesn't work Whitey, we can always put the buckets over our heads and then we won't have to watch.

Those of us old enough to remember.....Saints fans putting their hands in their pockets and putting money in buckets, to help try and save Bournemouth when they were on the skids and looked like they were going out of business. Okay, Saints fans, it's PAYBACK time! .......anyone got a spare bucket they don't need?

It's surely only a matter of time before the clueless hierarchy running this shit show, look around them and go "Oooooh look. Wayne Rooney's out of work. We've heard of him. Didn't he used to be a good footballer? Let's see if he wants to be our coach". It really wouldn't surprise me. Fuck me......I hope I haven't put any ideas in their heads.

For some time, I've had the belief that we are really, really bad. However I've just discovered that we are actually worse than that. We are a basket case thanks to the perpetual godawful decisions by our so called hierarchy!

Wayne Rooney has left Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth. Any idea what we call them now?
He really isn't very good is he? How many jobs does he have to fail at before they realise? Agree with S-Clarke's comment above. Oy Rasmus! NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Hello All. Well, as this doesn't seem to be a Saints specific thread (I get the Ivan - Death Metal connection) as such, and more about music, can I take this opportunity to divert you away from Death Metal momentarily, towards more of a Country Rock/Americana genre. For many (too many!) years I have played in bands and since 2008 have had a band called ONE FOR THE ROAD. We are currently at Number 4 in the CMR Nashville Radio, HOT DISC British & Irish chart, which is a 24/7 internet radio station and broadcasts to 82 different countries worldwide. Our current single is called Tequila Senorita. It is an original song. The video is here.....and for those "petrol heads" interested, that is a 1948 Chevy pick up truck we got to mess around with.
On 1st January we are releasing a second single called Scorpions, again written by me and the band. I have just discovered AI and have put together the video for this using AI generated images. Both videos have hopefully embedded themselves successfully.
Both songs are from our ONE FOR THE ROAD - SUNSETS & SILHOUETTES 2024 album available on all the major download and streaming sites. If you get a few spare moments over this busy period, please do give them a listen and if you think they are worthy enough, then feel free to spread them on your own social media platforms. (my thanks in advance)
So, apologies for hijacking this "non-Saints" thread and thank you for taking the time to read this.
I wish all fellow Saints fans a happy new year. We've had enough suffering for one season thank you very much - time to put some results together.
Cheers and Regards Saintkeef.

No doubt we'll get "sightings" soon enough, but in the meantime, the bloke who works on my car, his brother's mate reckons he saw Rafa Benitez filling up his Datsun Cherry with unleaded earlier, at the M27 Services. Mind you, he also saw Steve Cooper gulping down a flat white in Costa's, Graham Potter wearing a faded Brighton shirt, Fat Sam scoffing down a double Whopper with cheese and large fries in Burger King, Joey Barton picking a fight with the security guard, Jose Mourinho grabbing a take-away Espresso, Gareth Southgate studying the non-fiction paperbacks in WH Smith, four unidentified Danish geezers in track-suits (they reportedly "looked like the sporty types"), Roy Hodgson doing "squats" in the car-park and, you can believe this or not, it's entirely up to you, Russell Martin "Quaffing" his hair in the Gents and telling anyone who was willing to listen, just how good he is at everything. I don't claim any ITK knowledge here, but the source does seem reliable.

A RUUD awakening for Van Nistelrooy (see what I did there?)
-
Yes RM, it is extremely "embarrassing". Have you stopped to wonder why?
I don't get the "hurtful" bit. "Deeply fucking depressing" would have been a better choice of words.
When you eventually leave, as you surely will, we will get Joe Lumley to hand to you, your extremely large "pay off". You can then give it to KWP who will hand it on to THB, who will then give it back to KWP and he in turn, will hand it back to you. You will then give it back to Joe Lumley who unfortunately will miss it and it will end up back in the Saints bank account......at which point you can disappear out of our club.

Time to practice what you preach Russell. Be brave. Be very brave. Show us how brave you are by walking away from Saints, and as a token of your complete and utter bravery, leave your (purported) £12m on the table when you go.

I didn't bother posting this before, it seemed a bit petty, but now I think, so what!
I was sitting directly behind the coaches and subs at the Everton game. Martin jumped up to remonstrate with the fourth official at something he didn't like. However, between "jumping up", and "dashing over" to the fourth official, he actually took a time-out to coiffure his hair with both hands, presumably in preparation for the cameras panning to him. He really is a vain chap, not someone I can relate to at all.

I don’t think it’s that. His comment “I don’t know what more I can give the players to make them believe” was quite telling. It’s not his fault, if the players did exactly what he told them we wouldn’t be in this situation is what he’s saying. The fault lies squarely with the players not following his instructions to the letter, now it also seems it’s the fans fault for cheering players not doing what they’re told and he told us so as when the disobeyed him we conceded within seconds. Clearly the whole world apart from him can see what he wants to do isn’t working, it’s idealistic it might work with Man City and Barcelona who he says he bases it on when they’ve got the best players in the world but it ain’t going to work when you’ve got Jack Stephens and Joe Lumley in your starting 11
Turkish - you kindly responded to my post, so I will return the compliment. Rather than disagreeing with me, I think you were just furthering my points, and putting a different slant on them, if that makes sense and I think your summary is absolutely spot on. When I mentioned he is self-serving, you are right, he is now in the "covering his own arse" mode. Cheers.

My suspicion, based on his body language and his comments, is he's had enough. But he isn't going to walk. He'll wait to be sacked so he can pocket his substantial wedge. So SR, please do us as fans, the club itself, and him, a big favour. If it can't be done today, then tomorrow morning will be acceptable thank you. Further message of advice for SR - please can he be replaced with an actual football manager, one with proper tactical abilities, who can actually coach the players to their strengths, and who is less arrogant, less self-serving and less up his own arse than the current (soon to be former) incumbent, Rusty the Clown.

Reuben Selles leaving Reading......to go to Hull City. Crikey! that lad does like a challenge. In all fairness he has done a great job at Reading, under extremely difficult circumstances.

I can't believe there isn't "unrest" in the dressing room by now. No player likes to go out every game knowing they are going to get "hammered" each time, knowing that the style of football they are being told to play isn't working. Do they really enjoy passing it around tippy-tappy at the back and making no progress, just waiting for one of them to make their next mistake and ultimately concede another goal. I think not. I actually think we have some good players, but it is clear as day, to anyone with half a brain, that they are not suited to this style of play. So.....I may be miles wide of the mark here, but just trying to give an alternative view and possibly put a positive spin on the events of last night, Jack Stephens as club captain, knew his actions would lead to him being sent off and in all likelihood another embarrassing drubbing. Maybe, just maybe, it was a deliberate action to get sent off and thereby as a result, (hopefully!) speed up the process of getting rid of Martin. Maybe he was "nominated" by the other players, as club captain, to do what he did. It was his "slap in the face" to Martin and his style of play, in the hope that the hierarchy finally remove their heads from up their own respective arses, recognise the disquiet among the players and take the only logical course of action.
Every day I come here hoping for some good news and every day I leave disappointed. PLEASE LET IT BE TODAY!
As I say, I'm possibly miles off, but I'm clutching at straws. Thanks chaps, I needed to get that off my chest.
