  1. Indeed - it was ours of course in the days we all had shares but, those days don't exist any more and I for one am not gonna give a view whether that is a good or bad thing.
  2. You say Wes the land belongs to us but surely you mean ML's estate?
  3. Manji would you like to buy my latest book?
  4. Surman to score first and Saints to win 2-0 away to Doncaster 125/1
  5. Thanks to Leon I once came back from an away game £1250 richer
  6. Prefer him where he was - I prefer Fox to Richardson
  7. looks like a groin strain could cause him to miss the Scotland games. Maybe Shaw is going to get his Saints chance quicker than envisaged. I saw him at Stevenage and he did ok but not yet ready for the Premiership.
  8. I have no idea what caused this spat (unless it was Matt's support for Pinnacle over which he and I had a blazing row) or who is right, but I know one thing MLT is one of the most decent, honest, genuine guys around who loves Saints with a passion. I think it a great shame the two can't make up - after all both presumably want what is best for the club.
  9. Well it seems Adkins already has? Sorry St Chalet that this is on the Ramirez thread but Alpine made the link by saying it might have been better to not to have signed him and perservered with Sharp instead. Although I have not seen Ramirez play I am truly excited at his arrival (bit worried about the lack of defenders but that is another thread) and fully expect him to be a far better player than our Billy.
  10. Yes some wise words there
  11. Alpine, you go on about Sharp's talents but if you actually were at a game live and watched him it would soon be obvious that he is not Premiership material. Sometimes you do actually have to be in the stadium watching to get the whole picture. Not a criticism because i know you live a long way away which makes it hard to get to games, but you must respect the views of those that go who are lucky to get the broader picture. Trust me Sharp, great bloke and all that notwithstanding is NOT a Prem player. He knows it as well - that is why he went back to his comfort zone, where he will do an excellent job. And if we go down I sincerely hope we recall him, because he will get us back up.
  12. Ok Terry Paine was with HR last Monday night for a meal and spent 3 hours in his company. There was absolutely no mention of this - in fact Harry told Painey that he was quite happy doing nothing so this story is utter crap. Incidentally Terry told me he had never enjoyed an evening so much and it was all down to Harry who had so many great stories to keep Terry enthralled all night. Harry might be Soton's public enemy nos 1 but according to TP he is engrossing company.
  13. Thank you S-Clarke - sometimes I really do not understand people on this forum - you have "got" exactly what I was saying
  14. For Christ sake I meant he is on loan therefore he remains our player - what is it with this sinister undertone ****e?
  15. This is common sense. Cracking Championship player but not quite Premiership standard. This proves to me the club is being managed properly. If we go down then no doubt Billy will return to get us back. Forest have got a good deal but all is not lost for us.
  16. Ah yes so we did - did you get Terry's e mail address?
  17. Gemmel, I don't but there again I am getting old - tell me more?
  18. Norm I wish you had come up and said hello - maybe you can make it tomorrow? Terry and John were brilliant, I loved what John said about his most favourite crowd moment which was at SMS last game last season. Two great pros who can talk about the game intelligently. Terry in particular is amazing inasmuch he is up to speed with what is going on in world football and yet he so loves the Saints. I doubt if there has been a more articulate Saints player other than Terry.
  19. 2 players I was especially watching for last night were Sharp and Lee as I have doubts that either are good enough for the Prem. Lee was off the pace all night but as he is returning from injury I think the jury is still out but I do have reservations about Sharp. His main strength is his finishing but tonight he blasted one over the bar when very well-placed. OK it was only v Stevenage (not being patronising - they played quite well in fact) and it is only one mistake but overall I have to say I was disappointed in his evening's work. A squad member I suppose and we could have worse.
  20. You should have seen his awful miss at Stevenage last night
  21. Think thats a bit unfair - I have not sniped at NC at all on this forum apart from when he first took over when I pointed out that as fans we no longer had any rights. That was wrongly perceived by some as a criticism. In fact yesterday I was actively defending him when someone on the Ramirez thread suggested he had hoisted the white flag to Bologna. Rest assured those at SMS are well aware who FF is. I was hauled down to the stadium by Oldknow a few times for things I said re the club. I tell it how I see it no matter who is in charge inc Rupert if you remember. For the record I think NC has done a sterling job so far and the fact he seems to be putting his money (or someone's money) where his mouth is (Ramirez and Staplewood) shows that he genuinely believes in what he is doing. Credit where credit is due, I might not agree with some of his methods but like I said 3 years ago - none of my business really and what do I know about the best way to run a football club these days.
  22. Shame my wife is in Dubai next week she could have dropped some off for you Phil
  23. If any of the bravest phew come on here for info I can categorically tell them that Honest Harry is NOT going to buy them or invest. The source? The horses mouth!
