Can’t see much more than 5-6 points from those.
0, 3, 3, 0, 1 ... I'd take that ...

What does it say? Can someone paste it in.

28 going on 15 that lad. Generally harmless compared to some of the stuff footballers get up to but nevertheless he comes across as a complete Womble.
It won't happen, but wouldn't say no to him in the team though.

Yep agree on Mauritius, wonderful place would definitely go back
Iceland somewhere high on the list too. Has to be done.
always fancied a cruise round the fjords in Norway too. Been to Norway and Sweden for work a number of times and love those countries, great people, beautiful countries.
There are so many places in the world I want to go to, but oddly most of them are cold; South Argentina, Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, far east Russia, Finland and Norway (I've visited Sweden and Denmark, but only the main cities though) - I'd like to do a big game safari though, that would be warmer

Bali always appealed and seems to be a good spot for decent weather all year round plus quite interesting with lots to see and do
I'm an Indian Ocean fan, been to the Maldives a few times, but for somewhere interesting with stuff to do, I can't rate Mauritius enough - loads to see, definite interest for kid too.
Still my sun days are over as I need to stay covered up from now on, so I've booked Scotland next summer and Iceland at Easter. I fancy Canada the following year.

How does the power rankings affect the xG and possession? What about 'speed of sideways movement when the ball has gone out for a throw in'? All these stats are much more important than the actual final score, obviously.

Just got back. Absolutely buzzing. great atmosphere, proper match under lights. The walk back after a win is a joy.
So proud of the team tonight. Three things.
1. In the first half we were as fluid as I've seen us. Everyone was on the move, we just played them off the park. Not a huge amount of clearcut chances but the quality of the play with the ball was exceptional
2. Second half much expected backlash from Villa. But we weathered it and played without the ball with strength, resilience and heart. The game got messy and Villa really are an ugly Wimbledon-style team to defend against but we had the character to stand up to them. We've been moaning about the lack of leadership, courage, identity, organisation, strength and character in holding on to a lead. We showed it tonight.
3. There's a togetherness and spirit among the players that is very encouraging. There's no stars out there, they play for each other. They are problem-solving together and constantly talking. They adapted to Villa's changes and Ralph's and they just look like a really tight group now.
That's all I can ask for from my club.
But seeing as it's near Christmas perhaps I can ask for more goals because these 1-0s are hard on the nerves.
Love this post - enjoy your evening

Tonight sort of sums up why we throw away so many leads and are down the bottom end of the table rather than the top.
Outstanding first half, partially down to Villa being diabolical, and a lack of composure in front of goal (thinking S Armstrong) meant we made things hard for ourselves.
Second half was very poor though and not for the first time. We seem to just run out of energy, which is a big concern. Fair play to Ralph he did change things up which seemed to help.
A win is a win but I won’t get too carried away. If ings was playing tonight I don’t think we win that game.
Credit where it’s due, we won against what seemed like 12 men (who was that idiot with the whistle??). I’m not one to blame the ref, but he was very poor tonight.
But Ings wasn't playing, and Saints won. What the f**k is wrong with you lot, enjoy 3 points.

This statue will never not be funny. God even the plinth was worse than I remember 🤣🤣
There is NOTHING right with it. Looking at it again it just annoys me. The jacket pocket is almost at the seem of the shoulder, the buttons on jacket slope downwards, yet the jacket is straight at the bottom (maybe the tailor should be castigated instead!). The legs. The arms. The mouth. The eyes. It's like Bilbo f**king Baggins. And we were told by those involved "how well it was coming on". Christ.

We've got the best James Ward-Prowse in the world.
Best stadium called St Marys in the world.
But in answer to the original question, even with players Saints have sold, I don't think Bale, Bridge, Shaw and co would be considered the best in their position unlike Van Dijk and Keegan. Shearer was competing with the likes of George Weah who probably WAS the best in the world at that time.

Considering its mid season and he's just signed a contract, I'd take 60 million for him.
Would sort Saints out a treat and ensure mid table mediocrity, but hopefully, a proper cup run again.

I’m in Cyprus at the moment. during the day you wear a mask in doors and at all restaurants and bars when walking to seats, toilets etc, plus need to show covid pass everywhere you go. It’s not really a hassle although some people are moaning about it. Evenings are a bit of free for all though with about 30% of people wearing masks everyone doing what they want. No where really enforcing mask wearing in the evening, I guess it’s a lot busier of an evening but even so people know the rules but not sticking to them.
Because people are ignorant pricks. It's not hard, stick a f**king mask on.

I'll be very surprised if Howe isn't Saints manager by the end of the year.

Agreed. For me his performances have been poor this season. His delivery has been off, with corners absolutely bollox, and maybe his challenge last week shows his head is not right? . Maybe his head is away from the club? Hopefully he will sort it out and turn in a great game soon and prove me wrong.
This. Every single corner he takes is telegraphed and NEVER manages to land to a player on his own team, they are slow and obvious.

But that’s not what MLG said.
Got me thinking as I remember I think it was on the Network54 version of this forum that most people agreed the new stadium should be "St Marys Stadium". Then it came out it was the "Friends Provident Stadium" to wall of disbelief.

CO2 emissions from diesel engines are lower than from equivalent sized petrol ones, that's true. Around 20-25 years ago, there was a huge marketing campaign to get people to switch to diesel because you could get more miles per gallon and more gallons to the pound, so they were much more economical. And when manufacturers started making family cars with diesel engines that didn't sound like a rusty old tractor, people duly obliged and there was a massive spike in sales. Of course, with rising demand came an inevitable rise in prices, so it wasn't long before the cost per litre benefit of diesels all but disappeared.
Unfortunately, what they forgot to tell everyone is that diesels are worse for the environment in other ways, thanks to the much higher emissions of other pollutants like NOx and particulate matter. So although we've seen a slower increase in CO2 emissions than if diesel engines were still reserved for vans, lorries and tractors (the rate of increase in the sheer number of cars on the road means there was never a drop), we've also seen a marked drop in air quality. The refining process of diesel is also more energy-intensive than petrol, which leads to higher emissions from production, so the actual saving in terms of the amount of CO2 dumped into the atmosphere is negligible.
Electric cars really are the way forward in emissions terms. Of course, there are concerns about the availability of materials needed to make the batteries, and the overall carbon cost of manufacturing them. But the latter also applies to petrol and diesel cars, so over the lifespan of an electric car there is a significant GHG emission saving. The range and charge time on new models is getting better every year, so they are much more practicable now than they were even 5 years ago.
Ultimately, if we want to hit the target of net zero emissions, we all need to take personal responsibility to use less energy in our lives. Collectively, we also need to invest in much better public transport to reduce the number of cars on the roads, and in better national infrastructure. And we also need to reduce unnecessary consumerism and waste. Unfortunately, none of this is compatible with a neoliberal economic system that prioritises corporate profits above all else and demands infinite growth, compelling us to constantly buy more, consume more and waste more.
In a nutshell, we're fucked.
Agree with all of this, except the point on electric cars. The actual way forward is to drive less! Cycle, walk, public transport (which needs to be better and also more green as well), but drive less. Personally I've driven about 3000 miles in a year, not just because of lockdown, but many reasons - walking more being one.
There are many things people can do; plant trees, ban fake turf and have real grass, stop the obsession with cheap throwaway clothing and buy quality that lasts, repair said clothing like used to happen, don't buy a new mobile every year, stop the obsession with loads of make up fake tans and injecting crap, stop making fans of Everton and Manchester City (for example) travel to London for a cup final, play it up north, stop bloody flying around the world so much, drive less, eat less and eat what you buy stop throwing it away.
Generally the theme is "less". We do need to be less consumerist and repair what we have. Just my view anyway and what I'm doing - now. Yes, like everyone I've been part of the problem, but it's not too late to make a change.

Yep, it's all Moderna or Pfizer currently, but I think (hypothesising?) that because all us 'early adopters' had AZ, it is better to mix it up, so no point rolling out AZ for a booster.
