Splendidly and articulately put. But probably beyond the intellect of the Everton idiot, who should realise he's been totally discredited and put in his place, put probably won't, as the most ignorant are those who can't recognise their own ignorance. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

I think that was because we chose our targets carefully. Apart From Ryan, did anyone else come from the PL? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

I think that is highly unlikely. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

The talking is just the formalities of confirming the deal agreed by agents already. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Heard there's a suggestion that Leicester would chase Shlong if they lose Vardy. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

True, but how well has Ron been at bringing Academy players through? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

There's no bitterness. Just objective assessment of your situation compared with ours. Saints are in a good, sustainable place. Improving every season, despite changes. Living within their means. Fantastic training facilities, modern stadium, outstanding Academy (we were getting worried that Koeman isn't that good at developing Academy players, so good luck with that) Qualified for Europa in consecutive seasons, only missing CL by 3 points. The club is bigger than any individual. Our structure and planning will ensure smooth transition and progress. We have a carefully constructed team working together. Not a collection of overpaid individuals, which you could be in danger if collecting with a spend, spend, spend approach. Yes, you've got Koeman. But don't ever think that he's moved for anything buy money. In every other way it's a backwards step for him. I know where I'd rather be. Good luck. You'll need it. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

We'll enjoy the compensation, sign the manager you should have and move on. To our European campaign. With a great new manager. And finish above you in the league, despite spending far less. HTH Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

He didn't seem to have a close relationship with Koeman. May be a slightly better chance now of him staying. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk -
Not a bad theory. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Don't think I said that? Although if Saints are refusing permission the negotiations will be with representatives. Most reports say Saints need to agree compensation first. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Although Everton are in a stronger starting position, this deserve the potential to be a P*mpey. Well, perhaps that's a bit too far, but Villa, yes. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

I did suggest that earlier but got shot down. ? But it does seem that the plan is based on spend, spend, spend and lots of promises. Wonder how much planning for structure and sustainability is going on? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

One factor not yet mentioned is that Ron seemed close to signing before his holiday but cool on his return. Maybe he wasn't as happy as he made out, although he was very clear in his statements, and could have authorised his agent to test the water elsewhere, or maybe the megabucks offer came whilst away. Either way, he will have had thinking time with his family and it's not inconceivable that family would put increased financial security ahead of loyalty. But then, they probably haven't seen Merseyside yet. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

You're right about it being one reason, but got the wrong reason. This is about money. Apologies for the lack of random but dramatic capital letters. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
