All in all an excellent result....8pts between us and Villa in 10th. Yoshida seems to be discovering his form...Lallana again played the captains part. Clean sheet thanks to Boruc.....all round great team performance....

Would I swap our position with that of Sunderland, probably not, I agree a day at Wembley would be fantastic for the club and fans, especially if we won, we have agood chance to progress to the qtrs of the FA Cup, as do Sunderland, but the fear of relegation would be a nightmare. Also consider this...a few injuries to the Sunderland squad, like we have just gone through and they could find themselves back in the mire. So bottom line is No I wouldn't swap with the Maccam's.... A couple of seasons consolidating our position in the PL, with a slight improvement each year, and each year a good cup run, and if we reach a final yee haa .....

Personally I don't give a monkey's fudge over who owns the club, as long as they run it well and guarantee our future existence. As long as they allow the club to grow and compete at the highest level I'll be happy. Like many on here I can remember the glory days of the eighties, the meh! Nineties and the awful naughties that nearly saw our wonderful football club disappear.

Should've wrapped that up at half time....squandered loads of chances, need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal. Wes Brown should be banned for a horrendous tackle...how the ref missed that ...god only knows.... It's still a point away from home...onwards and upwards....
