He is quoted in Goal.com article this morning saying we would be his "last choice". If true I wouldn't want him here if that's his attitude. However it seems to me Goal have twisted words from what came out in the media yesterday from him.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2013/06/23/4066929/-
It seems the quote originally came from an interview with Goal Indonesia. ( http://www.goal.com/id-ID/news/1387/nasional/2013/06/22/4066382/wawancara-radja-nainggolan-tawaran-tertinggi-dari ) I cant imagine how something could get lost in translation with an article with a Belgian, written in Indonesian and then translated into English.
I wouldn't be surprised if he meant we were currently his 'only' option.

I'm a bit curious how would they lose all their games? does the current generation of console self destruct when you buy a new one?
But you're right, a version of Fifa 14 on the same engine as Fifa 13 will be out at the End of September / beginning on October for the PS3 and 360. Fifa 14 using the next generation Ignite Engine will only be out on ps4 and the One in November.
and really, what kids want to do isnt important to Microsoft or Sony. The average age of a gamer is in the mid 30's now.
-
I'm sure all the children will be rushing to do that. Oh wait, no, they won't. They'll stick to the 360 and just carry on playing via Gold as they have been doing.
When kids aren't interested then you know they've fu.cked up.
Judging from the pre-orders both the Ps4 and the One are doing fine. once they keep on seeing on their Xbox Friends list people playing Sunset Overdrive and Titanfall, Battlefield and Fifa 14. I'm sure they'll add them on to their Christmas list.
-
I find it interesting that my son (11), nor any of his friends, want the new Xbox as they won't be able to play their library of games.
I'll be putting my Xbox 360 throught the HDMI of the Xbox One. Then I can use the Picture in picture functionality of the One and the kids can play one game while i play another.

And his tackles crunchin'
Look at here the crowd is jumpin'

Did you find this article in the 3-4 hours you spent?

The developers will go where games could be sold and where its easy to program or easier.
People fail to see the cost that are involved in games today. on Release Tomb Raider on the original Playstation was £45 from electronics boutique. Now they release at less, and they cost massively more to develop. Used games ARE completely bastardizing the amount of money they can recoup. Do the bosses at companies like EA and Activision want to sell 10 copies that then go through the second handmarket 10 times? or do they want to have 100 sales, admitedly with price drops along the way, but earning a percentage of money from all 100 sales?
I can see why people like the used games market, but it is unsustainable if we want continually improved games.
-
I'm happy to wait and see. But if developers are able to make more money from one system than the other. Then they'll make games for that system. And developers don't make money from preowned.
I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox one and pc games were at the same price. And ps4 games were higher to cover the DRM differences.

Xb One has exclusive content for all EA games inc Fifa. And you can buy one copy of a game to share between 10 people. £4.50 for a game split 10 ways... Or 45 quid just for yourself?

Depending on wether publishers front load game prices for the ps4. With Xbox Pne following the PC pricing model, its likely those dowloads will be cheaper.

FIFA 14 will have exclusive ultimate team content on the Xbox One. It will be interesting to see if people would rather have the exclusives or pay 80 quid less.

If true, maybe now some will take note of what I said earlier that Pochettino would walk and leave us in a right old sh*te. He's another Redknapp. That he'd be grabbed up by a Spanish club in the merry go round following Mourinho leaving Real Madrid. So many options with even Malaga still hunting for a coach. Benfica would be too big to turn down
There's a Spanish club coming in for him as well as a Portuguese one? Which one?
-
Dave Whelan was on TalkSport and said Kenwright asked for permission to speak to Martinez last Friday. Sounds like Everton is almost a done deal. (They may be hoping a new manager will stop the moans over the badge).

Everton fans aren't happy...
The only problem with that is the shape of the shield... looks like a fat blokes torso.

Its surely just as feasible that the Liebherrs leaked the story to gauge fan reaction to Cortese. The story first appeared in the Times and Cortese hasn't exactly had the best relationship with New Corp papers over he past few years.
-
It sounds to me like NC is trying to negotiate a new contract. The story has probably been 'leaked' by either side to gain the reaction from the terraces against Stoke.
-
Would we have had Rodriguez playing so much better in the 2nd half of the season under Adkins? Without his improved form we would have been truly f^*ed.
-
Unless Stoke beat us 16-0, Wigan win both of their games, Newcastle beat Spurs away and Fulham beat Swansea.
Saints 0 - 7 Stoke would be the worrying score
-
We could get something more like...
or
Something along these lines will happen sooner rather than later.
If Cortese wants us in the higher echelons of the Premier League, he'll very likely want us to be easily marketable. The shield with the part halo is an easily protectable IP, (with or without text) which is cheap to reproduce on merchandise and'll be more easily taken on board by a worldwide audience.
I wouldnt be surprised to see 'Saints' officially incorporated into our name either.
-
Seeing as MOTD is recorded a lot earlier in the evening. Doubt they had a chance to watch any of the game or get any decent highlights edited.
-
Would any announcement be made on the day of a Match? Would a private company have to reveal such a thing anyway?
-
I thought the same Cheam Saint. It doesn't seem like Cortese sees MP's value extending beyond the next two+ years.
But the wording is interesting.
“The chairman, Nicola Cortese, called last week and invited me to become manager and promised me a 2½-year project, which excited me."
This doesn't read like a two and a half year contract. It reads like a guaranteed two and half year project. (irrespective of the division?).
Or perhaps I'm reading too much into the language.
The word 'Proyecto' is translated directly into English as Project, but its literal meaning is also 'plan / scheme'. Thats why you'll hear most spanish speaking managers (like Pep when he just joined Bayern) using the term Project constantly.
-
He was invited and of course cortese would remember meeting le tissier. The whole row is over grannies house.
Of Course he would, Cortese must have a photographic memory and remember every single person he's ever met in his life.
Its not as if you would expect a first day in charge of a football club to fly past, be a complete buzz etc.
Its not as if he meets football players / directors / chairman pretty much every day
He categorically, most definitely, will vividly remember that 30 minute period of his life that he shared the boardroom with Le Tissier (and probably a load of other ex players / managers)

....some random Sky Italia journo is saying we have had a €6 million bid for winger/striker Mauro Zarate accepted by Lazio.
some random "Sky Italia journo" who joined Twitter yesterday and used the #SaintsFC hashtag in every single one of his first 7 tweets on the site.
not to mention his Italian tweets are verbatim, what you get if you put his English tweets into Google Translate.
I know it's only Twitter
