  1. Was it last season we threw away a win? Battered them if I remember rightly, obafemi (I think) seems unable to pass a ball across the 6 yard box.
  2. I know and agree with you. Time to put 'BLM' in the bin as we can all see through it; whilst we continue to back worthwhile, non-political causes as expected in a tolerant society,
  3. On a slightly different note, given we are talking about 'oppression' I read this morning that both Manchester United and Liverpool do not promote their 'rainbow laces' and pro-LGBTQ+ campaigns on their Arabic and Indonesian social media accounts. Apparently, doing so will do "more harm than good" All very weird!
  4. dominated from start to finish and we come out no yellows or injuries. Vestergaard was my MoM, despite us not being under real pressure. Purely from his attacking play. Adams was very good also. Sheff United are very poor and lacking in any form of threat. Sure, they will pick up more points (of course) and win a few games, but will be amazed if they stay up. Time for them to ring the Allardyce alarm
  5. I like to see us target Jagielka. Surely he does not have the 'legs'... Shane Long?
  6. Unsure why we would need to anything, given the EU is a rules based organisation. Why would they breach international law in encroach in our waters without permission?
  7. Fishing rights is the side-show. The level playing field is where it is at, it is where it has always been at. The UK wants to freely trade with the EU and not have to sell off laws/legislation et al that have nothing to do with trade. Should we chose to offer state-aid to something inside our own country, that should be the choice of the UK Govt and should not be "constrained" by the EU and should not interfere with the exchange of good/services and such like. Now that we are all leaver's, surely you should want and expect the UK Govt to not shackle the UK into the EU and our own detriment, regardless of your view on the "worthless" fishery industry - which will probably be solved with a periodic review clause. If they didn’t, and British firms gained an edge over European ones competing within the same market, there should be the ability for the EU to retaliate with tariffs, or in another sphere. "It wasn't that the EU wanted to do something more ambitious," says one diplomat. "They just wanted to find something new. But that something new turned out to be a firmer, tighter gripping mechanism. "The feeling was that Barnier or Stephanie Riso were going too far in the direction of the UK," says one diplomat, "imperilling the internal market." Under some UK thinking, a four-year review clause on the free trade agreement would enable Brussels to assess if the UK had behaved in a way that undermined non-binding promises on free and fair competition In the event, Barnier’s team appeared to backtrack from whatever new ideas the UK was proposing. Officials deny that he suddenly threw in a last-minute demand under pressure from Paris designed to keep the UK tied to EU rules in perpetuity
  8. worthless isn't it. So much so, the French/EU are willing to crash out with no deal over it.
  9. I wonder how many who championed remain leaning MPs who voted down May's version of this, are still cheering In addition, if what we are doing is such a massive act of self-harm, unsure why the EU is so worried about the 'level playing field'

    Coronavirus

Does anyone else think that the first minister of Wales is a lunatic?
  11. I cannot stand Crook but surely he is legit with his info, given the platform he now has on Talksport. Not saying much to some, granted. However, Crook was demanding anyone booing the 'knee' should be banned from football......
  12. The EU has decided that in the event of 'no deal', the current fisheries policy will remain in place for another 12 months. 😑
  13. Despite Sheffield always being in the games they lose, I am confident we will beat them. I hope Adam’s gets a goal, as it has been a few games since he has.
  14. Probably get the michael taken out of them. Rightly so
  15. Does not matter. Many players, personalities and such like have been slammed before (recently) for carrying out an action that was different (harmless) from the optics.
  16. Millionaires taking the knee 7 months after an act of police brutality 1000s of miles away is ridiculous. Watching our police take the knee (then go in heavy handed at other protests) is ridiculous. The booing is only going to get worse. If people are offended by others actually booing, I would argue football is not the place for them. You should see the stick Pompey fans get when they come to St Mary's. Or is that allowed? I thoroughly look forward to the affirmative action taking place by England, The English Press and the likes of Gary Linekar when we are at the World Cup, given the open oppression that takes place in that country and part of the world.
  17. Unsure what you are suggesting. Many things do not impact people in their every day lives. For example, police brutality in the USA, but seems to generate debate over in the UK (for some bizarre reason)
  18. Critical thinking has been lost with this one. It is entirely normal to totally disagree with a political movement and/or the tactic being used, without actually being a racist.
  19. I find the taking the knee unproductive in this country. We are not the USA. The condemnation by pundits is entirely predictable and absolutely fuel for fans to rebel further as time goes by, as well as numbers in stadiums increase. It wont be long before it is phased out.
  20. Unsure of any other player of his stature being airbrushed out of existence.
  21. Seems very bizarre that we spend a decent amount of money on a player, then state it is no problem that said player can't even make the B team.
  22. Good draw. Maybe a rotated team will play. Salisu and diallo and hopefully the big striker will start
  23. Will the new defender feature at all?
  24. We deserve to lose today. Gave the ball away far too much Great header from Cavani though
  25. United seem to be winning everything
