Why would any freshly promoted team agree to that kind of contract, it's just ridiculous !!!
-
I went back and watched the interview again .... It's disgraceful !!! How do you face the players after spewing that shit.
-
100% correct !! The player does not have to leave the pitch if the injury he's receiving treatment for was caused by a bookable offence.
-
We have Leicester fans who want us to lose so that Cooper will be fired !!!
-
I find that statement offensive.. Are you trying to start an argument ?? 🤣
-
I get the feeling that that after Chelsea Potter has his sights set on the top half & isn't interested in a relegation battle. Playing in Stoke on a cold January night may not be his cup of tea.
-
The funny thing is that Leicester fans think that Cooper has to go if Southampton win.
-
Potter is looking for a high profile gig to keep him in the limelight. He wont want to tarnish his reputation by getting relegated. He turned down Leicester in the Summer but that was when a points deduction looked likely
-
I'm guessing you were being facetious when you said Puel. But for me Claude is a very solid Manager/Coach who knows how to tighten up a defence .. His player assessment is second to none & I always felt he would make a great DOF. Defence is how you beat relegation ... Not possession football I actually thought that Southampton pulled the trigger on him way too soon
-
Vestergaard hasn't started for Leicester so far this season due to a "minor knock" but I doubt he would make the team anyway with Wout Faes & Caleb Okoli being the chosen CB's for Steve Cooper this season.
-
I just get the feeling that Potter is holding out for something bigger. I can't see him joining a relegation contender.
-
I should qualify my comment by saying that I am 72 but I really don't understand why you would play without a striker when you don't need to. All this talk about overloading the mid-field is bull shit !!
-
He will be in great demand in the near future as relegation candidates start firing managers.
-
It's always going to be difficult to find a manager who is prepared to take on a relegation contender team. Leicester found that out when they were trying to replace Maresca. My choice would be Michael Carrick but would he leave Middlesborough ?
-
Yeah. They would love Cooper after that. I can't see Martin surviving if you lose at home to Leicester. Boring Defensive Cooper against Play Out From The Back Martin. Should be fun !!!
-
I get the feeling that Potter is holding out for a "big job". Not many managers had any interest in joining Leicester with a large points deduction looming.. I don't think Cooper was attracting too many offers at the time so took it anyway. He is very unpopular with Leicester fans at the moment !!!
-
I like Cameron Archer but I agree with you that his style of play doesn't fit with how Martin wants to play.
-
That was definitely the most entertaining Premier league game of the weekend !!
-
What is embarrassing is that the Independent Panel ruling on the appeal said that the PSR rules "are, in relevant parts, far from well drafted". A multi billion pound business that has left loop holes in its rule book is a bit comical. Leicester wont be too popular at the next EPL meeting but I'm guessing they don't care.
-
Leicester moved their financial end of year back one month which is allowed & by doing so were not in the EPL when the charges were laid. A technicality but it held up on appeal. It reflects poorly on the EPL as it shows their incompetence by not closing a loophole.
-
Hard to say what the points deduction will be. Leicester have pushed back since being charged & there is talk that we may have gone over in the Championship as well.
-
So many managers want to play out from the back these day but there are so many teams that don't have a keeper who capable of doing it. It drives me crazy when a team persists with it even though the players are not capable.
-
I've watched a few games & yes he does stand out but the Scottish Premiership is such a poor league that it's hard to judge how well he would do in the Premier.
-
I think there is quite a bit to be gained from the game. There is a strong possibility of meeting Leeds in the playoffs so laying a beating on them now would lay down a marker. The reverse of that is the damage it would to if Leeds get an easy win.

Thanks for that very clear & very interesting explanation
