It's the right decision. He's not Premier League quality. I think Scott Parker may be OK at Burnley though.
-
We couldn't afford to fire him...
-
My understanding is that the EFL will charge Leicester for past infractions & there is a strong possibility of a points deduction. The club has been a a mess for a few years now & Maresca getting us promoted was just papering over the cracks.
-
For me it's quite simple. Success for me initially would be automatic promotion. On top of that, real success would be building a team & style that is capable of avoiding relegation the first season back in the Premier League. What would equate to success for you ?
-
The problem for me is that so many managers just imitate managers who have success at other clubs. They see Pep play possession based football & decide to copy that style when truthfully they don't have players with the necessary skillset. Quality managers are able to develop a style that fits what their players are capable of. I believe Danny Rohl is getting the most out of his players at Wednesday & could be successful at either Southampton or Leicester.

The problem being that Southampton are not at a higher level so someone who has proven himself at a higher level isn't joining a Championship side.
-
That doesn't paint a pretty picture. !!!!
-
I truly wish we had brought in Dyche for at least one season.
-
That one sailed over my head !!!! I don't get it !!
-
Financial rewards are great but if they are not being used to improve the club & its status then for me it's meaningless. Who wants to be a perennial yo-yo club.
-
Gaining promotion is meaningless if you don't have a team or a style to keep you up. We've seen it this season with all three promoted clubs getting relegated.
-
Just awful !!!! Not too sure what our ownership were thinking .. Cooper had a chance of keeping us up but Van Nistelrooy quickly proved that he didn't have a clue. Replacing a poor manager with an even worse one tells you all you need to know about Leicester !!
-
Not in my opinion !!
-
His football was an awful watch at Leicester. His team selections were extremely conservative with a leaning towards older players. No one really knows what influence he had on incoming transfers but they were very poor choices made on his watch. He will get you promoted but he is not good enough for the Premier League.

There is a lot of chatter about hiring Martin & it fills me with terror. I watched a lots of Southampton games with him in charge & think the Man is a disaster waiting to happen. I personally feel that managers should be able to adapt the style of play to the players available. Managers who can only play one way frighten me.

Danny Rohl Or Liam Rosenior would be my top two choices but as I said earlier the club is a mess.We get in trouble every year for over spending and we desperately need a new DOF as well as someone who doesn't overspend on contracts for unsaleable players. Until Top brings in professional people who know what they are doing we are wasting our time.

Too ugly to be gay !!

Leicester have been a mess for a few years now ! Enzo Maresca papered over the cracks when he got us promoted but our whole structure needs revamping. Whether are owner is prepared to do the dirty work is another question.
-
I don't see Rosenior leaving Strasbourg anytime soon, they have a very good chance of playing Champions league next season. As for Cooper I'm not sure, he was awful at Leicester but the club itself was & is a mess.
-
He could definitely do a job at Leicester but I don't see him joining a club in a relegation battle. Might just as well stay where he is ..
-
Lots of good young managers have come through the Championship !! It's all about picking the right one ...
-
You have a window coming up !!! Three good acquisitions could turn it around !!!
-
I don't think it is pointless.. Leicester were rock bottom in 2014/ 15 for four-and-a-half months between late November and mid-April, but finished 14th in the Premier League, securing another top flight season. The club managed to put together a run of seven wins from their last nine fixtures to survive comfortably. It's not over until it's over. !! Who knows what a good manager could achieve ...
-
He knows how to put a team together & play to its strengths. He likes an offensive style but is flexible depending on the players available.
