  1. I pray it's a case of trying to drive the price up. His defending has looked worse than TAA when I've seen him.
  2. It's a real Jekyll and Hyde. When we're on a roll it's an 9. When we're not it's a 3. That being said keeping us up with the players he inherited and absence of funds was nothing short of miraculous.
  3. He only has 90 minutes (plus maybe 30)
  4. Now we've lulled them by being pants in the league we'll be able to catch them napping.
  5. When we become ponderous in attack is usually when we stop feeding the players bombing past on the overlap. So many times there was a player running through and the player in possession stopped and went backward. We're making the runs. Just not feeding them.
  6. Almiron on. A player we tend to make look good
  7. We got this. COYR
  8. Forster's kicking has been really good
  9. Just saw the draw. Honestly, my first reaction was that Pep would've seen that and said "oh fuck".
  10. Thank god for that. Was getting a bit antsy about him predicting wins for us.
  11. Villla dont seem to have gelled into the sum of their parts. Could go either way. I've seen Coutinho torment us but also disappear. They don't seem to have found a way to get the best out of Ings. But they've had a whole week to rest and prepare. Still feeling good about this one though. 4-2 to Saints
  12. Off to the bad takes thread everybody
  13. They'll have no answer for shlong. Armstrong will click.
  14. Better get a move on. Boris is imposing sanctions any year now
  15. Puel will play exciting attacking football. He'll do better than Koeman.
  16. "No one could have foreseen him selling his assets and it was vital we followed due process" Which doesn't compare favourably with "we'll hit them with sanctions as soon as one russian toe crosses the border". At least we have Top Gun Truss...
  17. And the angst of the Spurs-heavy studio
  18. Now for the best bit of this game. Conte's interview
  19. It's hard watching Middlesborough trying to break down plucky Tottenham who have two solid banks of four sitting deep to nullify their Championship opposition. I can see Tottenham nicking one and causing an upset here.
  20. Remember how our form tanked last season when key players got injured. I'm glad we had points on the board and Ralph learned his lesson and built a stronger squad. We're seeing the benefits now. Feel for Leeds fans. Feel for Bielsa. Every time someone suggests Big Sam, god kills a puppy.
  21. Yup. It's almost like our government's slow response is giving the oligarchs who fund them time to make arrangements to stop their assets being seized or frozen.
  22. Tough to do that. Chelsea owes Abramovich $2billion. https://www.forbes.com/sites/daviddawkins/2022/02/24/roman-abramovich-has-sanction-insurance-a-2-billion-loan-to-chelsea-fc/
  23. I'm not used to being 1-0 up and feeling unworried.
  24. Just watched the match again. One feature of our play that's come on leaps and bounds is ball retention. We're comfortable playing in tight pockets of space and the players trust each other to receive and move the ball on quickly. Players are making themselves available and know where to expect each other so when we win second balls we are passing rather than hoofing. Everton were left chasing shadows.
  25. That's the most one sided 2-0 I've seen. Weathered the storm then never looked troubled. Everything stuck to Romeu. And our passing was so composed and slick.
