Hello friends of Southampton! As you can see, Ahmed Kantari has been confirmed as head coach of our team until the end of the season. Opinions among us are rather mixed but Ahmed knows the club well as he was one of our former players, coach of our reserve team and coach of our first team at the end of last season. Staying in the 2nd division looks very difficult, we hope that our players will feel fully involved to get out of it, we have been promised that they will fight for our club, but the only truth is on the pitch. This weekend we played in the 1/32nd final of the French Cup, and won 2-0 against Sarreguemines, who play in the 5th division below us. Saturday's derby against Amiens SC is at home, and we hope they win the game.

It's more or less the same trajectory that our 3 clubs are going through following the takeover by Sport Républic, difficult at the start but then improving. Despite everything, I'm confident about the future, whether we go down or stay in the second division.

Hello Southampton fans, my name is Christophe and I'm a Valenciennes FC fan. I'm very happy to be part of the Sport Républic family since this summer and to be part of the Goztepe and Southampton families. As you can see from a distance, the first part of my club's season has been very complicated, after a late takeover (our previous owner complicated negotiations), there have been some bad choices, particularly by our sporting director, Ben Chorley, who has recruited players who don't know our league, so adapting has been very complicated. This winter, a lot of changes have been announced here at Valenciennes to avoid a descent into the third division. Hopefully Sport Républic have learnt from their mistakes. I've watched your team play and I'm very happy for you and wish you all the best. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards.
