I've always thought Bournemouth, as a football club, a bit like Pompey's annoying little brother.
They have an element with the urge and audacity to want to compete with us, and I don't recall any gratitude for the friendlies we'd often play down there to keep them financially afloat (Cherry-aid era).
It'll be a 'kin insult to Saints to spend a season in the same league as that non-entity of a club. I expect no less than for us to 'kin wallop them, twice, and show them who the boss is en route to our promotion and their relegation.
Anyone recall the story of their red and white shirt? Some sort of retro job that came out a long while back, and one of their execs apparently took a bit of a going over from some of theirs because they thought it was a Saints shirt?
