Russell is too worried about pleasing the players and giving 'everyone a start' rather than picking form. The presser hinted at it as he doth protest too much about having to leave people out and banging on about the subs.
We played some wonderful stuff for the first 30 minutes, but understandably grew tired mentally and physically towards half time. You can’t maintain that level for extended periods of time.
Subs again were a great strength.
