  1. The old cynic in me checked back but you only had two posts between Aug 18 and Jan 19 neither of which referred to Hassenhuttl? Apologies for doubting but this forum tends to make one somewhat sceptical by default, so nothing personal!

McQueen stikes me as the kind of 'industrious' player that would flourish under Hassenhuttl. He can also play in a few different positions which is another attribute I'm sure RH would appreciate. Fingers crossed indeed that the injury doesn't affect him long term.
  4. Eric did reveal himself on a thread a few years ago. Won't post the link here but it's searchable. A true hero indeed.

  9. Agree. Wondering whether to read anything into Sims being involved but Gallagher not. Would have thought they were both in the same boat (i.e. returning loanees with aspirations of first team football but in need of game time )

  12. Really? Any news on whether or not the Pope is Catholic? P.s. any danger of the WUM rules being enforced on here any time soon?

  15. Slightly surprised not to see Gallagher given a run out. Good to see Sims involved though. Saints 1-0 down after 10 mins

  17. I make it just the 4 teams above us (I don't count the Cardiff game as that came too soon for Ralph to have any effect on the outcome).

  19. Agree, but just trying to avoid the inevitable penultimate year 'tittle-tattle' that starts in the press etc when a manager is about to enter the last year of their contract. It can start to effect the players and results. I just feel that if we agree a longer contract with him the club can still enter into an agreement with RH to say we wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted to leave earlier, but I just feel a longer contract would lead to more stability in his penultimate and/or last season with us, whenever that may be. Forward planning and all that malarkey. Just thinking out loud guv.
  20. How long is Ralph's contract? 2.5 years rings a bell (?) IMO we should be offering him a new 4 or 5 year contract immediately. I know contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on these days but I feel it's something we should be doing as a statement of intent now that we know that RH is the perfect fit for us.

  22. Ten days before the next game and Ralph had them in training today. Hughes would have probably given them the week off... A breath of fresh air this Austrian fella
