Alas, I'm almost convinced there has to be a negative angle as to why he hasn't signed a new contract yet. Surely, the obvious (and perfect) timing to have signed a new contract was immediately after the FA 'pardon'...? Sticking two fingers up to the EFL and 'marching on' regardless... But, no... We have Spors deploying the textbook "there's no rush" management deflection technique. Maybe I'm just a cynical old fool, and a new contract signing is in the offing but, until then, I'll still continue to be sceptical as to why it's not already done and dusted. I simply can't see a reason to arbitrarily delay matters....
