Nick Nack, nothing is a front to keep my spirits up. I'm not talking about millionaires buying Pompey, I'm talking about billionaires. There are currently three groups bidding for the club. One YOU correctly identified as a german group so if even you've heard that people are bidding for PFC how can you say that I'm just trying to put a brave front on things? That kind of blows your argument here out of the water, wouldn't you say? The other two groups left (a couple have fallen by the wayside, including a Thai group that had links to Shinawatra) are Arabs and Chinese. The Arabs are leading the bids but may pull out due to conditions put on the sale by Gaydamak - he wants the contracts to build the training ground and stadium to be given to companies he's involved with and the Arabs are refusing and threatening to pull out if he keeps insisting on this.

You realise of course that most of your accusations would also apply to The Romsey Retard, frantically comparing clubs website traffic and checking Pompey websites to see how many season tickets we've shifted? Is that him in the photo? I know the thought of Pompey having to sell players in January makes you very moist but I'm afraid we'll have new owners long before then who, unfortuately for you have lots more cash than Gaydamak. Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams but maybe you'll be able to limp along until then without going into administration. Maybe
-
Nick, nice to get into a decent & sensible conversation with you for once. The £130m you quote is not just for the stadium. The plans also include a 10,000 seat arena for concerts and also other commercial developments (I assume retail, bars etc). Finding a buyer doesn't seem to be a problem, we have at least four groups sniffing around and like I said earlier, I'm told a deal will be done before Xmas. Haven't heard about Germans but if you move a little further North in Europe you wouldn't be too far wrong from the group leading the pack at the moment. Don't be too sniffy about us going into administration either. Those were the rules at the time (ie no 10 point reduction) and PFC can't be blamed for that. From what I hear you're a whisker away from facing that option yourselves so I'd like to see if you still feel clubs are ripping off suppliers should Lowe choose that option for you. One thing you forget is that when we were getting those low crowds we'd faced years of no investment and turmoil. Your crowds have dropped to your "all time low" in just three years. Let's see how many you're getting if you're relegated again and struggling at the wrong end of the division after 10 or 15 years of the same thing. I wouldn't crow too soon if I were you. Our regular average in the lower divisions was 13 - 14K (see link below for proof if you question that. http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/england.htm That's my three post for today. Someone PM Baj and get his ass in gear for my membership please.

There are a couple of points you're missing. People with enough money to buy a Prem football club are very, very wealthy already and know that they won't make money on the club. It's a plaything for them. Secondly, for anyone wanting to buy into the Premiership PFC are a very cheap option. You could buy Pompey and build a new stadium and still spend less money than it would cost you to buy Newcastle or Spurs. And they can also make money by redeveloping the Fratton Park site. The housing market is down at the moment but it's cyclical and anyone who has tis sort of money will have a longer term view on things. Claridge is missing one blindingly obvious thing here. The stadium hasn't been put on hold because of the finances. they've been put on hold because Gaydamak is selling the club and will leave it to the new owners to build it. The new stadium is planned as a 36,000 seater. I'm sure we won't fill that week in week out but see no reason why we wouldn't average the same sort of crowds as you did at St Marys and even sell out for the big games. Also, it would enable us to offer decent corporate facilities to generate more cash. Again, you're missing a major point here. Comparing our potential crowds to Blackburn and Boro is pointless because they both have clubs relatively nearby (Blackburn in particular) that are much bigger draws. Blackburn especially in the NW have to compete with Man U, City, Liverpool, Everton etc etc for their crowds. We have no Premiership rivals withing 70 miles of us. It's a major difference
-
LOL at you lot creaming yourselves when you don't even seem to be able to read an article in the NOTW properly (is it too highbrow for you?). You all seem to have missed the key word in the article and that word is "initially". Of course we're for sale, I've been telling you that for a few months now. But the price will be somewhere between £60 - £70m with Gaydamak seemingly willing to accept staggered payments - hence the initial £20m he's reportedly prepared to accept. I've been told there are now 4 interested parties and that a deal should be done well before Xmas, possibly even by early Nov if everything goes to plan. And despite what some doofus on here was laughing at, all the groups and individuals interested do indeed have billions. If only Baj would actually activate the account I've paid good money for I could PM one of you with the names of those I've heard are interested so they could confirm it once the sale goes through. On the subject of debt, as someone else has already pointed out which Prem club doesn't have huge debts? Arsenal and Liverpools are crippling them and Man U have debts ten times ours (or more, given the problems the Glazers now have with AIG). You also seem to have missed our annual turnover of £65m. Crowds at Fratton so far this year have been very good. We need a bigger stadium and the better facilities would attract more fans, even the Romsey Retard has admitted that would happen.

I can tell you exactly what happened and what the problem is as I used to work in the industry. The problem is that the standard by which HD is measured has changed since the TV was bought. When the first "HD Ready" TVs came out the resolution was lower than it is now ( it's now 1080p). This meant that the TV your father has was HD ready at the time of purchase but since the standard has changed it no longer applies. Most electronics companies now sticker TVs as "Full HD Ready" or HD 1080. Baj is also right about the lack of HDMI sockets. It was usually a component input on early TVs. If you really kick up a fuss you might get a refund/ exchange but given that you've left it for two years it's probably too late. Companies are much less reluctant to excahnge stuff now given the state of the economy and JLs profits are way down so they'll be much tighter on this sort of thing. Guarantee means nothing as there's no fault with the set.

No, the bastardo still has my money and I've not been sorted yet. Time to start the instate the Ho campaign I think. Come on, who's with me? What? No-one?
-
To be fair Nick Nack I don't think he has to know all about me and my statements. I think he just needs to be able to read. That seems to be what he did and he read post by me saying I still rated Redknapp when some other Pompey fans were saying less complimentary things. Care to admit you were wrong? Thought not
-
So, Nick Nack. A Saints fan has corroborated that I always said I rated Redknapp which is completely the opposite of what you claimed. So, were you making it up to try and prove a point or is it just the senile dementia kicking in again? I think we should be told
-
OK Nick Nack. Don't tell me who they are. But you can easily prove that you've not just made it up. If they know me, they'll know my name. So post that on here and you can prove you're not making it all up. If, however, you can't do that I'm afraid it will be plain for all to see just who it is who makes things up on the innerweb, won't it?
-
Oh the blissful irony. Nick Nack accuses me of inventing things on the innerweb then asks whey he should post something to prove his claims about POL posters views of me. Shall I get you a shovel little Nick Nack or do you want to stop digging the hole for yourself now? Your post about my mum not letting me post at weekends surely is the last pathetic defence of a man who knows he has nowhere to run. The post about me having 6 weeks holiday wasn't supposed to make you jealous Nicky you paranoid old duffer. I genuinely couldn't see why you thought I'd invent a three week holiday. It's not as if no-one on this board has been away for that amount of time, is it? A pretty standard holiday period surely? That's post number three today. Come on Baj, activate me as a fully paid up member, you've had the money.
-
PMSL @ Nick Nack making up friends on Pompey Online. If it's true Nicky Nacky, name me the people and also how they know me to prefer Westwood over me? I don't know any of the guys who post on POL. If you can't answer I'll assume that you're full of ****. If I haven't got any mates why am I not posting on here at weekends? Surely if I had no mates that's when I'd be loneliest wouldn't it? The flaws in Stan Ogden the wondow cleaners arguments are so big you could drive his cart through them. Also, why would a three week holiday be unbelievable? I get six weeks holiday and took half of it for my major holiday this year. What's odd about that?
-
Definitely a bad day at the office. Still, City are going to be right up there this season IMO and as our other defeats were against the two finalists of last years Champs League I don't see how that makes us relegation candidates. On a brighter note, at least it wasn't as bad as this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/fa_carling_premiership/256050.stm
-
Look Nick Nack, I know you demonstrate on a daily basis that you're not one of the sharpest on here but try and grasp the fact that some Pompey fans still hate Redknapp. Just like some Saints fans still hate Lowe but some are quite pleased he's back. Different people have different opinions. I always liked Redknapp and was glad he came back. Others have different ideas. Not rocket science is it? Given that last night's crowd was only a little above what we normally get I'd say the support was pretty much what we've been getting for the past few months. And how do you know we only do it when we're live on TV? Do you secretly go to all the games? The only alternative to that suggestion is that you're completely full of **** and have no idea what you're talking about. Which one is it?
-
Look Nick Nack, I know times are tough for the self employed like you (how is the window cleaning round doing these days? Keeping your head above water?) but for most of us £5.00 really isn't much money. Anyway, when I logged on after coming back from three weeks holiday (had a lovely time, thank you for asking) you were spluttering on that I wasn't posting on here because Pompey had lost two games. Post or don't post - whichever I choose you blather on about it. 1. Because I grew up in Somerstown 20 years ago does that now make me one of the "Krew"? If so I guess you are Lord Mountbatten? 2. Do you still believe that Pompey will be relegation candidates this season as you confidently predicted after our first two games? And do you still believe you'll average crowds of 20,000 this year? I'm guessing that these questions will be ones that you won't answer because I'm a cyber warrior you can't be bothered talking to. PMSL

My last post of the day Archie - but as I'm leaving at lunch time to go and see Pompey in the UEFA Cup I'm sure I'll get over that disappointment I'l post the mail article below. Show me a direct quote from it where Gaydamak Snr says he owns Pompey. Arcadi Gaydamak has revealed he is the real owner of Portsmouth and not his son Alexandre after reports suggested the Barclays Premier League was up for sale. The Jerusalem-based Russian-Israeli businessman listed all his assets to Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot, including Portsmouth which he values at £300million. Gaydamak made the claims in a bid to counter accusations that financial difficulties were threatening his £1billion personal fortune, reports The Independent. He also insists Portsmouth’s proposed new ground will be built in partnership with the Dubai royal family, who today denied they were in negotiations to buy Liverpool. However Gaydamak's statement poses a problem for Portsmouth who are aware of his interview. Now, the article from the Mail reports that Gaydamak Snr says he owns Pompey but I fail to see a direct quote in the section above where he claims that personally. Gary Double at PFC says he's seen the article and that there is no mention of it, just a reference to PFC being worth £300m and an image of our proposed new ground. That's a long way from him saying he owns us. It could be that he did say it but the article above contains no direct quotes, just reportage by The Mail (a bastion of accurate reporting I'm sure we'd all agree). So, until someone posts the actual article from the Israeli newspaper we don't know for sure what was actually said. Unless you can provide me with that direct quote of course. See you tomorrow all - unless Baj pulls his finger out and activates my account.
-
Nick Nack, even for you that's a very dumb comment. The only reason we "abused" any of our boards was when they stopped investing and almost let the club go to the wall (Deacon showed what he was all about when we got promoted to the top flight back in the 80's by refusing to strengthen the team even going as far as selling our captain Mick Kennedy when an offer came in for him) and whilst Jim Gregory was a decent chairman his son Martin was a complete **** who asset stripped the club to within an inch of it's life before Mandaric bailed us out. I'm confused. Is it OK for your lot to abuse your boards but not Pompey because you seem to have been doing quite a lot of it lately. Lastly, there's always lots of talk on here about a couple of seasons when we averaged 8000-9000 average crowds. That was when the club was on it's knees due to lack of investment. Given that your crowd last night was only buoyed to 14,900 by 1200 Ipswich fans that means you've lost 18,000 fans since relegation in just three years. If you continue in your current fall from grace (maybe even dropping another division or two) how long do you think it will be before we see you getting similar crowds?
-
Well Nick Nack, last season we averaged 19700 across the season so I guess he's basing his figures on something similar. Great crowd for you last night - especially considering around 1200 of them were Ipswich. By the way, could someone PM Baj and Granty for me and ask them when my full membership is going to be activated. The fiver went in the post on Monday.
-
Sorry Archie, Gary Double was referring to this piece, which of course he's actually read and you haven't. As Double says, there is no mention of PFC in the article. You say there's a direct quote from Gaydamak Snr - not in the Mail's article there's not. Read it again and note that there's no translation of the actual article, just sensationalist "highlights". Of course, it does say that the new ground will be built in conjunction with the Dubai royal family (great news for us if true, **** news for Saints fans ) but doesn't mean that he's the owner. Read the Mail article again and try and find one direct quote

Blimey Nick Nack, I know you're Stuey's ***** but are you asking me to say it to your face? LOL By the way, yellowstreak? Was I right about that smell of wee coming from your trousers? Like, duh, Stuey. Read the post I made in the thread about Pompey being linked with a takeover. I wasn't talking about the link to the arabs in the People on Sunday. See the post about Pompey being linked with a takeover. You chump. Glad to see that despite your protestations otherwise you're still so obsessed with Pompey and our fans that you know how many tickets we've sold for Thursday's game (which is virtually sold out now anyway, at least in the home sections). As for not selling out on Saturday, I see in your previous posts it's OK for you to mention that less attractive teams for you can result in smaller attendances but when the same applies to us (Boro) it doesn't. I also notice that no other Saints fans seem to think you'll average 20,000 this season. Asking why I don't wait until the end of the season is also a bit stupid when we're talking about predicting average gates too don't you think?
-
Great wishful thinking scumlettes. Unfortunately PFC had already issued the following statement yesterday before Gemmel even started the thread. Seems as if the Times (who picked up the report that the Mail copied), in their eagerness to muck rake, put 2 + 2 together and made 100. I've highlighted some key points in case some of you don't spot them yourselves. Pompey today denied reports that the club is owned by Arcadi Gaydamak and not his son Sacha. The confusion arose from an interview with Arcadi in a Hebrew language newspaper in Israel, which was picked up by The Times today. According to The Times, the Russian-Israeli businessman, who is running for election as mayor of Jerusalem, allegedly claimed he owned the club. Club spokesman Gary Double said today: 'This is absolute rubbish. Portsmouth Football Club is owned 100 per cent by Sacha Gaydamak not his father.I have seen a translation of the Israeli article and there is no mention whatsoever in the interview of Portsmouth Football Club.' He added: 'The paper ran a dozen or so pictures of Arcadi's assets and one of them showed a picture of our proposed new ground and the caption said we had already got planning permission for it. As we all know, that is rubbish.' He said the caption also claimed the club was worth £300m. So, no actual mention in the article from Gaydamak Snr saying he owned the club, just a photo of our proposed new stadium and an Israeli newspaper (not Gaydamak) valuing the club at £300m. However, I've been told that there are three groups/ individuals who all have offers on the table to buy Pompey, all three of which are for £80 - £90m and all the interested parties have funds that make what Gaydamak has invested seem like chickenfeed. One group is Thai, one individual is Russian and the other is (rumoured, don't know for sure) to be Hong Kong/ Chinese. The arab link in the Sunday tabloid is apparently bogus. Although I guess they could put in a bid themselves. Sorry, you all got excited for nothing
-
LOL. What big games like Birmingham at home. First home game of the season against the promotion favourites. You got less than 19,000. And that was when optimism was running high. Unlike now when people are already calling for your managers head. What other games apart from Reading will get you big crowds? Doncaster? Swansea? Preston? Face it my little soldier of fortune, as the season wears on and your paper thin squad gets weaker by the game your results will continue to be poor and your fans will get more and more disillusioned meaning more and more will stay away. Does anyone else on here believe that you'll average gates of 20,000 this season - just out of interest. Also, I notice that mummy's gung ho litlle soldier hasn't commented on the fact that Pompey look likely to be bought by mega wealthy backers soon. Maybe something to do with the fact that he confidently told me that no-one else would buy the club from Gaydamak to plough millions more into it. Nothing to say Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeey? Lastly, regarding Nick Nack and his threat to hang himself. Don't do it Nick Nack. That tree's been there for years and you could damage it. I would tell him to cut his wrists in the bath but as I'm told that like a lot of old duffers he smells heavily of wee I suspect he doesn't bathe that often.
-
You reckon you'll average 20K crowds this season? PMSL. Lose against Ipswicha nd I reckon you'll be getting 14-15,000 on Saturday and if you keep getting results like you've got so far this season the crowds will keep dropping. Do you seriously expect to see 20,000 turn up each week when you're constantly getting beaten? LOL
-
I've been told that there are three bids on the table for Pompey. One is a Thai group, one is a Russian guy whose name I've been told but won't repeat on here (he's very, very wealthy though - we're talking multiple billions) and the third is in all likelihood not arabs but Hong Kong Chinese - again mega Billions. Good to see what Stuey said - that mega rich investors wouldn't be lining up to buy Pompey - coming true isn't it? He's a genius that Stuey
