  1. Glad I'm not the only one
  2. From my understanding he wasn't available earlier. Man City wanted him on their pre-season tour due to a number of reasons. 1) they had a lot of players reporting later due to world cup & 2) they wanted to take a look at Mubama and decide whether to sell outright or if they saw potential to just to loan (hence i don't believe we have any kind of buy option) Man City wanted him to have a step up from Stoke and other clubs were interested who they were and whether we were the "biggest" club in for him i don't know.
  3. We were enquiring with other clubs about the availability of strikers and being offered strikers before we knew Mubama was available again for seasons loan. Unless you are a top top club its very rare that you do land your first choice.
  4. Makes you think though doesn't it how the EFL managed to investigate, disciplinary hearing and appeal so quickly yet the FA have had 3 months and still no decision!!
  5. Normally when charged by the FA you have the opportunity to either appeal or attend the disciplinary hearing (if you wish for the panel to take mitigating factors into consideration). Otherwise the panel will decide on a sanction based on the evidence that led to the charge. The hearing is usually heard within 2 weeks of the charges. I am guessing that with a decision not being published as yet and with Tonda being in Germany last week that it sounds like Tonda/legal reps have asked to attend the hearing. Which you would have thought would be the start of this week. The results of the hearing are usually communicated to the person/club within 24 hours. So hopefully it has to be imminent.
  6. Well that's a shit move for him. Don't understand that at all.
  7. We know what the away kit is. The leak happened and the negative response forced the clubs hand in releasing the 3rd kit first. My understanding is away kit launched next week.
  8. I've been at Staplewood all day (for work not spying) and didn't seem like they were particularly expecting anything today. Good to see Larin back today from World Cup Duty
  9. I know from FA disciplinary hearings at grassroots level (I am a committee member of a grassroots team) that once charged you have the 'response date' of which Tonda's is today. If he chooses to appeal it or requests a personal hearing then a date is set for the hearing usually within a 2 week period. If he chooses to accept the charges then a quicker hearing without him/his legal team will go ahead and any sanctions will be communicated. Think we could be a while off hearing yet. Especially if he has requested to attend a hearing after Germany pre-season trip. Hope i am wrong as want this sorted. Hopefully Tonda has been told accept and your sanction will be...
  10. Yes Russ the likelihood was strong that we would go straight back down but it was the manner of it. You didn't/wouldn't adapt your suicidal way of playing and we were practically cannon fodder every week. If we'd gone down fighting and been in with a chance of staying up all season then he may have earned the right to give it another go but we were done for by December. Take some responsibility man!!
  11. I mean god they needed a striker - they were toothless upfront in the playoffs
  12. https://talksport.com/football/4448398/tonda-eckert-fa-charges-southampton-spygate/ I'm guessing 3 charges are as there were 3 teams spied on.
  13. 11.30am announcement incoming i'm led to believe
  14. Feels like the club reacted to the TalkSport 10am Tonda announcement news and published the holding statement but have pulled it for some reason
  15. The article has been taken down now but did not read 'the club acknowledges the FA's charges today but will continue to support Tonda' ?
