  2. they were at it again tonight with Peter Begrie on the football league show. Talking about the crisis at Pompey and only one of 4 clubs without a win in th NPC, but Beagrie claimed 'one thing is for sure the fans will turn up in their numbers' now correct me if i am wrong, their crowds this season are around 16k, support about that of an average midtable NPC club. They struggled to sell their allocation for the FA cup semis and finals, so where the f*ck has this myth come from? I remember going back about 15 years them claming they had a hardcore of 50,000 fans, yet only 10,000 turned up for a game when Gregory was in charge and they were close to going under (again) and could have been their last ever game (again). Stats say their support is nothing better than midtable NPC and well below our support, so where does this myth about their great support come from? In 25 odd years of being a football fan i've seen nothing to back this up, not saying this with bias as a Saints fan, but it's like someone constantly claiming that Preston have massive support yet the stats prove otherwise.

I can only think its because they have tcwtbe, sung when losing vs Arse and having good old Harry boy as their manager

  3. Id just got home from school early as I was unwell.

Turned on the TV to see the first tower on fire.

At that point they thought it was an accident.

Will never forget seeing that other plane fly into the second tower.

    RIP

  4. I have complained about this before.

Please DO NOT CALL THEM PIKIES!!!!!!!!!

As any self respecting Hampshire Hog knows, they are cackers or didicoi's.

What are you, one of them plastic cocernies from down the road in the land of the skate?

In other news: If I had the chance to ask him a few questions it would be

    - How do you see your plan to fulfil the legacy left behind by Markus differeing from a fans outside view?

    - How do you quantify the funds required to achieve the goal?

and if I was given the chance for a few more

    - Who would be your ideal candidate for manager now/NPC/Premier

    - Who cuts your hair?

    - Did Markus ever watch Dragons Den and comment 'I could buy you, Khanie, The Bubble, the Sweaty Sock, the Blond Bint and Stretch at the end.' but using German vernacular?

    - Who would win in a fight between Superman and the Hulk?- have you got any photographs of you smiling?

As you can see i am back from holiday, back at work, and can't be arsed to do my Site Waste Management Plan update, and can't take things too seriously.

I can clear that up for you, Superman everytime

  5. Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many people fit in that bracket? Double figures? In the hundreds?

I'm not suggesting that the lower the figure the less these people should feel disenfranchised, but just curious as to how many people we're actually talking about here who didn't (couldn't) renew because of the withdrawal of the payment scheme

    Well im in that bracket.

  6. Right not much more to add from the original transcript other than when we get promotion ( god this will start the better fan than you arguement ) season ticket holders who have stayed loyal with the club through thick and thin will get much cheaper tickets than those who havnt.

And the meal was roast duck with plenty of free wine and beer.

What about fans that were season ticket holders up untill the payment plan was taken away?

Does that make them "fans who didnt stick by the club through thick and thin"

No anti Cortese agenda from me, im quite a big supporter of his, but just wondering.

  7. The Bullard gamble didn't pay off and made him look very daft. But he's a great player and maybe thought that it was worth the risk.

The on-pitch half time talk was a mistake, and I'm pretty sure he's admitted that since.

For every manager you'll be able to point out flaws that they had; all managers have made bad decisions at some point. I just think that, for where we are and where we want to get to, Brown has all the traits needed for the job and is just the man we need to come in and straighten out our under-performing "stars".

Not sure the Hull fans are thinking that. 45k a week, for a bloke who basiclly has 1 knee is suicidal for a club of their size.

Bradford and Carbone spring to mind

  8. Can't believe Boozy Rouge is closing down! Fantastic place!

Went to La Cantina in Bedford Place. Was very impressed!

Also, the best Italian I have ever had is L'arcadia in Netley. Lovely little family run place! http://www.larcadia.co.uk/14.html

Edit. Just found out that L'arcadia has closed down now which is a real shame!

Went slightly down hill, was always empty but me and the wife always loved going down there of an evening
