Lol, not our day, my mum could have scored
-
This is the worst I've seen us play this season, have the players switched off, given we are all but safe? Was always a concern that would happen
-
To all who are whinging about the team selection, theres this thing called periodization. When you push your body to max, it needs time to recover. When you dont give it enough time to recover you can get 'overtrained', and as our high pressing game means the players have to be incredibly fit, its likely some players will be nearing that. When overtrained, you become more injury prone, have low energy levels and feel weak. So making all these changes is necessary for the players fitness levels.
Why not rest players on Sat then against West Ham, both teams are all but safe
-
If Guly plays for us again it will be too soon
-
Here come Morgan and JRod
-
Really frustrated with JWP today, he's got ability in there, but he has been awful today. Truly rubbish.
Why are we not changing anything yet? It's baffling me. It's just like we're shrugging and passing up a chance to Wembley, we honestly don't seem to give a ****.
He's gone backwards this year, I'm not sure he will make it if I'm honest, he's not strong enough and doesn't get nearly involved enough, not just here he was dreadful away at Chelsea and Newcastle as well
-
We've got what we've deserved here, MP obviously doesn't value the cups at all which I'm afraid is misreading the fans
-
Guly and JWP off, JRod and Cork on
-
Not saving that, might wake us up now
-
Wanyama has had a decent 45 mins, good to see him working his way back
-
No lets fully put this Guly is ok myth to bed, if he can not do it against a team fighting relegation that has made 9 changes to its team then when will he? It will put it to bed once and for all, Guly has always been a poor footballer and him being in the side will reflect badly on Pochettino, how he can justify picking him is bewond anyone who knows the smallest amount about football.
For once I agree with you, really not sure how he is playing here ahead of one of the Academy lads
-
Outplaying us?!
no. It's a poor game but saints look more threatening.
just depressing this is a 5th round FA cup tie. Competition deserves more respect from both clubs. What are fans supposed to do when they spend a fortune on league tickets and have it rammed down their throat how important staying up is and how little clubs care about the cup?
Add to to that ridiculous kick off times and the game on TV and I don't blame the fans for the small crowd. Just sad it looks like a friendly match on a **** pitch!
This, sadly I think you'll see this repeated throughout the weekend, Arsenal will play a reserve team for a start
-
If ever a game had 0-0 written all over it.... (Famous last words)
-
Wanyama pinging some lovely balls about
-
Guly is this weeks Wanyama, who btw is having a solid game defensively
-
This is dire
-
Guly looks lost, would have been good to see Isgrove or Rowe
-
Oooh, unlucky JWP, should have scored
-
All Sunderland so far
-
Seen more fans at Pompey
-
There is such a small crowd, I know the weather is bad and it's on TV but it's not a great advert for the FA Cup this
-
well, they havent had all week have they. 3rd game in 7 days
Plus all the travel - which takes it out of you as well
-
We've lost.
True fan right there. Thats the spirit
-
They dont have Johnson who's by far and away their best player and we have Lallana + Lambert - i still think we ought to win
Big game for JWP who's struggled to make the step up so far, like to see him be more involved, a bit stronger and not be afraid to go past a player. His crossing, in these conditions, could be a key factor

Agree, Gallagher should have played, especially if we were supposed to be resting players
