  1. Had a test from a mate at the game - said absolutely no width yet again and we will struggle to break them down and get service to Lambert. Expect the same comments as weve seen all season from those that went

You have to wonder if Pardew watches the same game as the rest of us. Charlton with 2 wingers have won 6/6

Maybe we can sneak the odd goal

  2. Can,t argue with anything you,ve said. With regards to the lack of signings today,I would rather bring in nobody than mercenary panic buys,we have had our fair share of these over the years,Nilsen,Jakobsen,Van Damme,McCann Anyone?

However I think that ML,s five year plan to get back into the Prem will take at least another two years as I fear we will be working up from L2.

Yep, we go down before we go up

  3. not good enough..simple as that...no excuses

Exactly - all this getting better boll*cks. Stockport have NO money, about 20 full time players (most of them kids) and are relegation material. We still couldnt beat them

When we play a team like Leeds or Charlton and get dicked on 4-0 maybe some of these 'we are getting a little teensy witty bit better' doughnuts will realise that were utter gash

Oh and 1/8th of the season has gone already and were 11 points from saftey

  4. Yesterday was my first of the season

it was probably the worst game I have seen in years and some think it was an improvement lol

    no pace

    no width

    no creativity

    crap ref

    even worse opposition

I went to a few games last year (5 or 6) and the Swindon game last week. The Swindon game was THE worst performance I have seen from a Saints team in all my 30 years of going to games (and i've seen some bad ones)

  5.

Give us a couple of months and we'll be winning regularly. We just need that one result....then it'll all click into place IMO.

    We all said that

    a) when we were bottom of the premiership and

    b) when we were bottom of the championship

You think some people would have learned - you cannot shine a ****e

Team needs overhauled and players need to move on - its started already but by god we need a busy transfer day (ins and outs)

  6. I suspect we have the funds to pick up 3 or 4 very solid players from around league 1 - even at say 1m each. Teams like Brentford, Huddersfield, Swindon etc all have some good quality players (CB, CM, Wingers etc) that were crying out for

Then we can say good bye to the likes of Wotton etc and sell Rasiak, Lallana etc

  7. Fine, IF we sign an experienced centre back too. Why the hell isn't JPS here? He looked good a league higher in a woeful team. Not to mention we'd have someone who could shoot from set pieces. He's free and wants to play for us, I just don't see where the risk is.

Totally agree. For all his faults he's a world better than Thomas or Lancashire and Perry, bless im, is on his last legs

  8. I know its sensationalist but we are odds-on to go down this season unless something drastic gets done and quickly

Players like Lancashire, Wotton, Thomas etc should be nowhere near our first team and kids like Paterson, Lallana etc should be seeing limited time as subs

We are a VERY poor team and time people woke up to the fact. We have a club still and amen to that but lets be realistic that football wise we are in the bin

  9. In a service station on way home but echo what's been said. Truly dreadful performance. Say what you like but we need to ship out about half of that team and get some stronger, more passionate players soon else its going to be relegation battle - quite simply Huddersfield were a LOT better than us and I suspect Swindon will be as well

  10. Good riddance. One of the most overrated players ever. Has been poor for two years.

Just like people said about Delap and Higgy ...

  11. I remember speaking to Matt Oakley a few years back who told me that Hoddle was by far and away the best manager he worked for in terms of actual coaching and training. He got the best out of players like Oakley, Beatty, Richards etc by working with him on the training pitch

Plus look what he did at Swindon - proven track record

Im sure MLT isn't dumb enough to put any past personal differences before the best interests of the club, esp. if hes the chairman. If its a choice between Hoddle or Dowie/O'Leary etc then Hoddle wins each time

    Not that it will happen

  12. I couldn't understand that at the time. To anyone with half a brain, he spent a lot of effort saying nothing at all.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing a load of webmongs on an internet forum that some money existed

  13. Sorry but until this is done by the people that matter i dont believe a word Tony Lynam says, SSN says or any of the 'ITK' pratts on this forum say (I received a call from someone in the club blah blah love myself more than chocolate blah blah blah - you know who you are)

We are a sorry state, with even sorrier fans and a bunch of bigger drama queens you'd be hard pushed to find
