Got on website, wouldn't come up as an option. Only displayed Newcastle away. Phoned up, straight through. Ticket purchased, but could only get 1 as my mates didn't quite have 7 aways. For that reason I will probably just go in the home end so I can sit with mates. I have a feeling there will be plenty of seats in the large stand so we can probably all sit together anyway. No drama

I mentioned last week that you can buy tickets from tobacco shops that are ticketbox sellers anywhere in Holland. There are no restrictions on buying the tickets for this game, as they are on open sale to the public so you won't have problems getting the tickets over there - no ID or membership numbers needed. I recommend doing this as pick up from the stadium is not guaranteed on the day of the game

Yup can't agree more

Ok I can report back. I've got tickets through ticketbox. You need to register. My Dutch friend has the tickets in hand (so no need to collect at the ground) he also thinks that you can actually print the tickets off on line. I am not sure if the systems are intelligent enough or interlinked with Vitesse football club, he doesn't think so. So people really should look at this as an option rather than potentially risk getting refused at the ground.

Yes it sounds like a much better way than buying from the football clubs and stays under the radar.. I'm speaking with my Dutch mate today to make sure he actually gets the tickets in hand and not just a receipt for ticket collection at the ground. I've done a quick search and there are 3 ticket box shops in Amsterdam....do some research and you'll get tickets no problem I reckon. I will report back

Tickets are sold through authorised resellers, called 'ticketbox', in towns. Just like in the UK certain retailers are allowed to sell lottery tickets, certain tobacco shops and newsagents are ticketbox agents, and can sell tickets. I have got a Dutch contact trying for me today. Initially I thought he was pulling my leg, but if he comes good I'll find out if there are any restrictions as this might be an easier way of doing it rather than ground collection and getting refused

My gut feel tells me that they will allow for a corner area in the ground for away fan overspill but they are not actively going to encourage it to restrict the numbers travelling. No guarantees but seems odd that blocks 123 and 124 aren't being sold on their website - maybe we will get a sales window on the day at the ground to get tickets in these blocks?
