There was actually a 'scoop' in an Islandic paper back in February(ish) saying GS was in his way to us so it might not be completely out of the question. My Zlatan-loving Icelandic workmate sent me it back then with the obligatory witty comments about us finally getting our act together. I could dig that out and post it here lest I get the egg treatment but it might be more fun to what certain people go at me first and then post it. In any case I don't think GS is entirely out of the question because there has been smoke.

Depends how much it will cost them really.
Exactly. The Cucster was never gonna win PL player of the year but he did a job and always gave 100%. Nothing wrong with him as deep cover at RB and he can come round my house for tea any time he likes.

6.
5.5 actually. I sincerely hope Alpine does not top himself at all and continues to amuse me with his wum skills

Just you, pal.
Only an 80's child would even suggest it. Bags Jeff is 50+

He doesn't have one
He talks to God though! I think he would know.

How many pens did a committed Fonte give away last season when he cared? How many so far this season when he cares?

My Son told me 4 months ago that Saints would sign Boufal. He also got VVD correct. He's 11 years old. He works out the players on FIFA and then analyses them. Berahino is also on his list.
Is his name Paul?
-
Maybe best to give our normal feeder club Celtic a miss this year... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36761213
Hell no! Let's sign someone, anyone, and then make a grand speech about Celtic's ambition.
-
Seems like an excellent signing on the face of it.
Could any of the forum's many Scandinavian residents give us an idea how we're supposed to pronounce his name please?
'Hoi Byeah' is more or less how you say it

This article says he's more of an attacking midfielder.
Nah, i've never seen him play an attacking midfield role. He's always played a Morgan type role, albeit he generally does things at a quicker pace than Morgan does.

Højbjerg is a very good player. Very technical player, rarely gives the ball away and he's got a pass on him (although he mostly likes to keep it short). He would also tackle a brick wall. You have to admire how Saints pull this stuff off time and time again.

Let's just get this Marco Silva guy and be done with it, I mean how hard can it be? He's got the Midas touch and he raises a firm middle finger at company dress code. I like that.
-
No. An unverified story in the papers is not a sign of ambition, taking your manager is though.
Christ, maybe Lukaku will look at that and stay!!!
-
Well that's that then. I'm sorry to see Erwin go :-(

@SimonPeach: Seems Koeman situation coming to a head - could be sorted tomorrow. Compensation figure #EFC would have to pay #SaintsFC is around £5million
£5M for Koeman's last year is great business. I feel like WE have nicked THEIR hubcaps.

Do announcers usually notice stuff?
Withdrawn. You aren't a native english speaker so my comment was was out of place

Agree with all this, spot on. Even the announcers noticed when Long and Austin were gone we weren't making runs and opening the field. As stated, the ball would come right back in keeping the pressure on, and giving our defense no break. I don't fault the defense, although it wasn't at its best. However any team constantly resetting the game from the just outside the box is going to score

Danny Blind looks likea young Martin McGuninness
Most of his team play like Sefton

I keep an eye on Bashley and Fareham Town. I followed both everywhere in my teenage years due to my dad managing those teams (before that it was Totton) and had an absolutely great time. Fareham doing Scarborough away in the FA Trophy was probably the best trip ever and a young Paul Moody scored an absolute belter in that game.

Sounds awful that so many people got hurt last night. Must have been some vicious chanting.
Football fans in a group can be tools. Yes, it's a shocking statement and i know it's hard to take in but there you go. Let he who hath not sinned and all that.

Who is doing QA on the product Ralph?

Stonewall pen.
Looked it but actually, incredibly, there was no contact and it was actually a dive. How the ref has called that right is obscene.

I'm with you on this. Gets far too much stick. In the odd game Without him leading the attack we have been terrible. Great focal point and He turns so many **** hoofs into something it's not true. He lost confidence last season and that was a real problem as Long isn't good enough to replace him in the loan striker role.
In the one league game i saw last season where he didn't play it was the best game i have seen from us for a long time. We were forced to change our style of play and were better for it. I was quite surprised when he was straight back in the game afterwards.
However, I like Pelle. He can play. I would just prefer he was seen as a 'normal' player and not the man-mountain he is during our build up play (crosses from out wide excepted). We give him an awful lot to contend with sometimes but I think he does a good job overall.

My mistake, it was late April.
Here is the link to the article: http://www.visir.is/g/2017170429953/southampton-komid-i-slaginn-um-gylfa
I know it's paper talk but Iceland has a small population, so I would tend to believe there is something in it a bit more than I would if it was printed in The Sun.
