I wonder how much the French 5th division (or Eastleigh) pay their players. You can thank Mr Murdoch and the grasping players and their agents for the parlous state of football before aiming your sights at the club who have to pay these ridiculous wages. It is not rocket science.
-
It is not a narrow vision - if people are seriosuly stretching themselves to buy a ST my advice is don't do it - why spend that sort of money if you don't have it. Jez it's not hard. PS Ignore that if you wish.
-
Not so blind or ignorant (in the true sense) but losing the will to live at the innane waffle people put on this board - this 'lets start a revolution' is just guff and you know it.
-
Well it makes the non football summer days more interesting at least....

and you won't be going either then? IT IS A BUSINESS if you don't like it do what capitalism allows you to do - stay at home and vote with your feet.
-
You tell em....yawn. Or I know - just don't go if you don't like it - that'll show them.

But you are advocating buy now pay later by signing up to an installment plan or have I missed the point (actually it was the fincancial sector making it too easy to borrow money that screwed the banking system rather than the credit cards themselves). As I said in an earlier message take the credit card get the ticket and then cut it up or can these terribly poor people not be trusted to do that....they might run up more debts? Mabye these poor people should stop smoking, cut down on the booze, spend less on christmas or just prioiritise what they spend money on. Anybody who cannot afford to buy a season ticket should mabye just consider staying away and listen to it on the radio (which is free) since money is so tight. I would think that in the great scheme of things SFC should probably be less important if you are that hard up you cannot afford a ST. Lord almighty roll on the World Cup and the start of the new season so we can get back to football instead of innane twaddle about payment plans.....BTW SFC is a commercial business as well not a charity.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on South today in a few minutes....
saintsub replied to saintsub's topic in The Saints
It is a load of BS - Alex O-C has been with Academy set up for years and never near the Skates. His dad obviously knows that SFC offer hugely superior prospects. -
So buying on the 'never never' with SFC is ok but buying on a 0% credit card and ditching it afterwards is the root of all evil - I don't follow the logic here. Just cut the card up when you have finished paying for the tickets or even the day you buy the tickets - it makes no difference -simples.

I also met the lad and he really is a lovely young man and appears very dedicated - given the track record of SFC academy thus far I am sure that he has every chance of doing extremely well (and hopefully for us!) -

Great article - says he is the next Theo or Gareth Bale (possibly) and his dad is ensuring his feet are on the ground. Hopefully we will see a lot more of him next season. -

Probably, like me, owns a 0% credit card for 10 months and therefore doesn't give a toss ! -

I don't think so - looks like an item about him and his family (his dad was Mark Chamberlain ex Pompey, Stoke, Sheffield Wed and England player). -
The BBC are saying he promises a great deal for the future AND HE IS OURS!!!!!! That should add a few noughts on his price tag.

Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.
saintsub replied to miserableoldgit's topic in The Saints
I can only assume that SFC can generate sufficent quality friendly matches to bring on the talent within the academy. This is a brave move but one I support provided it can deliver better football for our up and coming and fringe players (or those returning from injury). I cannot imagine that this was entered in to lightly and the pros and cons will have been fully discussed. I would suspect that some of the Chamionship and even Prem clubs would relish the chance of having a run out against us given the good name the SFC academy has for generating high quality players. It actually also provides the coaching staff the oppoirutnity to experiment and put more players on and off during match since they will not be tied to league match substitute rules. -
Combination of poor wages, poor diet, hard paper round in their youth (no bicycle) and the fact they are probably over forty!

God save us from ill-informed conjecture, guesswork and made up stories based on rumour....roll on the new season please

That'll be John PFC W******ds Great Grandpappy - do you want to tell him or shall I?
-
GM - fantastic piece of research I loved them and laughed all the way through at the Mr Cholmondley-Warner sound a like. Sky TV what have you done to the game........£12 a week and that's your lot I say. Brilliant and thank you.

Where did you get the information that we are away to H&W? The club would be nuts to go to there - surely there are other Blue Sq S clubs to play at. Just what we need - a bunch of idiots screaming 'scummer' for 90 mins at our players.
