Baffling that people are trying to rationalise the guy who perfectly judged the flight of the ball is at fault instead of the guy who mis judges the ball. But hey, here we are.

The only thing baffling is your blind support of him despite what's obvious to everyone else. Perhaps he's a lovely bloke, perhaps you're the new Mad Nate family member desperately trying to stand up for your own flesh and blood. But when it comes to footballing ability, Manning is sadly lacking. He'd be alright for a lower league club not looking to get promotion to the Premier League. But he is nowhere near good enough for us, it's infuriating.

Fuck me, if we beat Liverpool this week and Klopp refuses to shake our players hand this forum would be in meltdown. If Nathan Jones had done that, they’d be a 10 page thread about it, with the people defending Lego being the first complaining about it. Our noddy supporters are crying about a keeper wasting time, dear god. As if our players never do that. Take your red and white specs off, he was wrong. Hopefully he regrets it.  End of.

Awww diddums. Mr. Bad Man didn't shake the hand of their goalkeeper after the match? Come sit on my knee and have a biscuit. It'll be alright.

Bree hopefully back soon, the perennially injured Juan Larios has been sighted, Manning is on borrowed time unless he improves.

Hope you're right. But it seems Martin loves him.

My opinion, FWIW, is I want to believe that as long as it’s mathematically possible, I want to win the league. That’s what playing and supporting sport is about in my opinion. To want to, and believe you can, win every match.
I respect those that want a Leicester win to make second place more mathematically possible, but I can’t be like that.

I want us to win the league too, but I can recognise that it's highly unlikely and that a Leeds win would make our promotion a little bit harder. Leicester must win, for the sake of us getting promoted and hanging onto to THB and possibly Downes.

Fucking hell, some of our supporters are obsessed with the bloke.

I know. Imagine talking about an ex manager getting a new job on a football forum. That's rehab-worthy stuff, that is.

He is a lovely lad. Had a good chat with him whilst he was helping out with a kids summer holiday football camp in Poole a few years ago.

Told him I was gutted he didn't come to us instead of Bournemouth!

Correct. Comes from a lovely family too. Cathryn and Ian certainly did a good job raising him and Ian actually has a soft spot for Saints after he worked in the city in the 80s. This is a great move for everyone.

    Hey everyone.

My restaurant the Culture Caff at 281 Shirley Road are hosting a Q&A with none other than Matthew Le Tissier this Tuesday from 10am til we close at 2pm.

We will be serving our amazing breakfasts throughout and it is a great opportunity to have some excellent food and mingle with our greatest ever player.

Hope to see some of you guys there.

    Thank you

Bit of a coup for your restaurant that, good luck!

Perhaps the next event could be Talking to Water with Rickie Lambert ;)

Oh FFS I knew it would only be a matter of time before some of our bellend fans started this shite. What started off as good intentions from the club will undoubtedly be turned into a few fans trying to make themselves important.

First we had the Yellow Day at Blackburn away circa 2005 and now this. If this new club initiative means we have to see Crab Lungs wearing a plastic fireman's helmet again then that's it, season ticket going in the bin.

  9. Can envisage the singers moving to the top of the Northam where the safe standing section is, and the lower half just becoming another Kingsland/Itchen full of quieter folk who wish to sit and watch in peace. Then as somebody mentioned, being spread out like at Wolves away can prove impossible to create a decent atmosphere. Having all the Northam singers compacted into a couple blocks on top of one another (ooh err) creates a pretty decent amount of noise as is.

That combined with the fact that many people do wish to sit near the away fans (not myself personally but it's definitely a thing) could lead to a dispersed atmosphere. Remember when SMS was opening, all the discussion was about where the "new Archers" was going to be. It was agreed to be the Northam because it was situated near the away fans. Even the Archers end was right next to the away section. People just like being near the enemy.

Hope this is well thought through, may end up having the opposite effect than intended.
