More surprising is that the club are selling this yellow kit ( I thought it was earlier than 91-93).
https://store.saintsfc.co.uk/Product/ProductItem?id=0000-17546
Recollection was that we only wore this about twice and it wasn't sold at the time.
Could possibly be why they're selling it. They may have got wind that there aren't many about and there's a demand. Not for me personally.

I'm hoping we have an away kit that has no yellow whatsoever on it so our fans don't just shout yellows every ten minutes at away games and think that constitutes atmosphere. Although i guess that'll just mean all they do is sing oh when the saints, over, and over, and over, and over instead.
I know, god! Saints fans supporting the team arrrghhh when will it stop?

This makes me think of Egil Ostenstad.
Yes! And Berkovic. Although unfortunately for me the first player that come to mind was Shipperley

[not a paid endorsement] Let's bring back this beauty as an away kit for next season? https://store.saintsfc.co.uk/Product/ProductItem?id=0000-17551
Nice work by the store bringing out a replica

Why not have one TSP thread rather than a new one for each episode?
For me the individual threads for each episode are very much a part of the TSP experience. A podcast without a thread is very much like a biscuit without a blanket.

Saints are desperate to sell. No way we will turn up the chance to get rid of one of our most important players with only around a day left in the window. The most annoying thing is that this one is being pushed by Saints, no Spurs, by all accounts. We have instigated this. Doesn't mean it's going to complete but Saints are desperately trying to push it through.

This one is done. Happy days.
He's currently our best right back playing in a settled defence. Happy days.

How do new chants actullay start?
Depends what the first words are

This forum does love having a scapegoat. Clearly it is Danso's turn now.
Has every player who has ever played for Southampton been really good? Has there ever been anyone you thought wasn't particularly decent or they've all been top class in your opinion?
Some players just aren't that good, don't let it worry you.

Who was it Redmond celebrated with on the bench for his goal? Maybe something they've been working on as he had a cracker off the bar against Wolves too.
-
Nathan Redmond scored a ****ing great goal, in the skates **** hole
Leeds chant -
skip to 30 secondsEven our fans could get this going.
I'm usually not for more songs with Skates involved but this potential Redmond one and the new Ings one are great. Relevant and recent. This is a good shout saint97, not only easy for the Northam-quicky-clappers but sounds good too.

Lock up your chickens
Racial stereotypes aren't welcome here. I'm sure Ryan likes all kinds of food.

How does the new Ings one go?

It was very clearly 2v2, not 5v2, the other three were racing back because they had been supporting the attack (watch the highlights and listen to Adam/Dave who mention 2v2 a few times). The fault came from giving the ball away by Adams, deep in the Wolves half. So often our problem in the past, midfield/attack give the ball away cheaply and expose the defence.
It was 3v2. Bednarek, Stephens, Cedric
Hoj and Bertrand were runing back. Hoj managed to get back just in time and if he was smart enough could have got there to cut off the pass. Didn't.
And Cedric just decided to leave Rual completely alone. Dreadful, which is a shame as he's been good lately.

Just as well given time travel is still proving to be an illusive concept...
Nah people were hoping to get hold of the stub

I would 100% give Long a new contract though. He is the fastest he has ever been, wins more aerial duels than anyone this season and I would imagine he is a nightmare to play against. I know he doesn't score the goals he should, but he contributes in many other ways.
Absolutely. I've gone from being dismayed when he was in the starting line up to expecting him to start alongside Ings every game. Even as a non-goalscorer he's doing a sterling job.
-
I like Bertrand. But he will have been with us for six years in the summer. That's much longer than we can expect from any player of real quality nowadays so wouldn't begrudge him a last move. Although I don't see him fancying Leicester. He looks more like a West Ham signing to me.
Leicester will be in the Champions league next season, West Ham are in a relegation battle. Dunno maybe

Serious question, have we got a skate running our ticket office?
This is definitely a fair question. Something is up here and it's f**king bull****. Can someone in the area - perhaps a few people - go down to SMS and demand answers, respectfully but unabashedly? It's easy to ignore emails and tweets, not so easy to ignore frustrated humans knocking at the door.
Also who is going to the next club Q&A? Don't allow them off the hook. Shout out even if you're not invited to.

Think the board will be secretly very happy now that Big Sam turned down to opportunity to come in for talks.
-
Has been really good for two or three games. Ceddy the Sou is back!

There was a bit of an issue with the row in front of me in the central Kingsland. Three young ladies turned up and took their seats and then two young gents came along with duplicate tickets for two of them. How can that happen?
Not just a bit of an issue Whitey Grandad but a right old royal mess up. Thought it was all going to kick off at one point.
The taller of the three ladies actually got quite violent downstairs when dealing with the stewards and almost got herself kicked out. However turns out she knows someone who works at the club and her and her two friends subsequently got moved into hospitality free of charge.
-
I think restraint is required here. Yes the Red Bull people have been in town twice within the past month and at St Mary's once, but they do have other ties in the area and any potential deal is only talk right now.
-
The club know that if they can scrape back even a tiny fraction of the money lost on Adams then that will be better than him running out his contract in the reserves. Hence why he started against Chelsea to get him in the shop window. If we can get a million or two for him from a lower league team they'll snap their hands off, but if not he'll go down the same path as Carillo and Hoedt.
Another disastrous striker situation. Our clubs loves them.

A great away day. Despite the heartbreak, despite the moronic Derby fans, despite the heavens opening on the walk to the car, what an amazing day, atmosphere and away following. Yelllllloooowwwwwsss
