I don't know, which is something that a lot of people don't understand. Why did they call in a debt that had been reduced by 33% in 9 months, and why renege on their original agreement? I don't understand how a company making a profit that is decent enough to not be a going concern can be cut off like that. And that is certainly not clutching at straws.

I'd be there. We could have huge attendances for that league.
-
But that's it, I believe had those who decided not to go had come back to support the club in it's hour of need we would not have gone into admin.
-
But we were foreclosed on due to Barclays calling in their debt, which may well have been different had the Overdraft have been £3m (almost definitely actually), and the club had made a £2m profit in the 9 months to April. That doesn't sound certain to me.

Ok, Say we don't obtain a buyer for the club, the club is disbanded and sold off bit by bit, the council or someone else buys the stadium, could someone (for instance the Saints Trust) buy the brand/copyright for Southampton Football Club and put the name to a new club. How much do you think this would cost? Could rent the stadium for a small rate as we'd be in the Isthmian or whatever league. What kind of crowds do you think we could get?
-
If we end up getting bought then I will get down off my high horse and admit that the Pro-admin people were right, otherwise they are so wrong it's unbelievable and we'll be left without a club Lowe or not. I just hope all those that haven't gone because of Lowe are happy without having a club.
-
We all would, you're missing the point. If we fail to exist, would you still have taken admin?
-
I never actually included you Alpine except for in the most flippant if remarks, it was more a dig at the locals who refused to go.
-
Well written. I think the issue I have is those that live close, but chose not to turn up and support their football club not for financial and geogaphical reasons, but for political reasons. It seems to me that these people could have gone, and joined in with the protests like the rest of us, but decided to cut off their nose to spite their face.

Haha, very probably

Average wage for Norwich is also £365.40 per week, compared to that of Southampton which is £487 per week, around 25% lower.

You're not fighting back, you're not even coming up with any arguments. You're just coming up with really poor insults and witticisms. At least UP actually researches and argues succinctly. Christ, even Sundance argued his points.
-
If it helps I don't blame you one bit Alpine, because to do that I'd first have to class you as a fan.
-
Yawn... Look, we're not going to agree, and I really am infinitely bored of you, so just go do one will you.
-
Certainly not from Alpine's match revenue.
-
You know nothing about who my hero is, the same as I can't sit here and say your hero is Hitler or Fritzl. Just wind yer neck in son.
-
Clappy face thingy...
-
I wouldn't mind Alpine, because I'd still have my club, much against your wishes.
-
Agreed, I am one of them, and we certainly do not deserve to lose our club.
-
Chairman, board and fans, as well as managers and players, but as I don't have access to the 4 of them, some of the fans should know that part of this is THEIR responsibility.
-
Oh yeah, Crouch, Lowe and Wilde are definitely responsible, but if the fans that didn't want to 'line' Rupes pockets went to the home games last year, the bank would nopt have foreclosed, and we would not be in admin. End of.
-
Hey, I will gladly have someone come tell me ' I told you so' if and when we get bought. I may even bend over for them. But until that happens I can apportion blame how I want to and to whom I wish to.
-
**** you *****. I'm not blaming the fans, I'm blaming SOME fans.
-
I'm afraid to say I have been 80-20 that we were going to fold once in admin, as I said continuously when people were saying they wanted us in admin to rid the club of Lowe. Personally, considering some of the actions of some fans over the past 12 months, I don't think the club really deserves to survive (especially for them). So down on it all at the moment.
