Godwin Antwi is good.

Completely agree Phil, we holed up outside there this year as close enough to the Pyramid to hear all the music, yet cider on constant pour (and not that luminous orange Gaymers ****, proper 7 percent cider!).
-
Great to hear Ed, hope your recovery continues. By the way, the guy who does the NFL on Sky is also a Saints fan.

Pardew on Saints TV - pretty revealing

Ok, fair enough, I thought he meant more recently than that, 'tis all. I can't ever remember Saints having a great scouting network, it's always been average at best to me. -

Since when has Saints scouting network been second to none though..? -

First day under the new Manager
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Toadhall Saint's topic in The Saints
If we haven't bought at least 2 players by the end of today I'm gonna kick off massively. -
Rather not to be honest. Never rated him, always flattered ti deceive. Too old and engine has gone now. No creativity, can't pass, can't shoot, no energy. Just because we're in League 2 it does not mean we have to sign someone like Holland.

Went to Twickenham last year and it wasn't THAT bad. Had good cider from what I can remember.

I wonder how Leeds fans thought of Brian Clough? Or United fans thought of Alex Ferguson until that Mark Robins goal? Or Blackburn fans felt about Roy Hodgson? Or Chelsea fans feel about Scolari? I also challenge people to name more decent Strachan signings than bad ones. My point is, everyone has bad spells as managers. This was Alans.

It all started when it was decided that Charlton was an area full of common, saarf east London ****s. That's how I remember it anyway. I would take what they say as gospel but as we all know the average IQ round there is around 83, so it doesn't really matter to me. They complain about his signings, McLeod, Varney etc, who I remember we all wanted to sign...

Alan Pardew named new Southampton Manager
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to offix's topic in The Saints
Very happy with that appointment. Didn't do well at Charlton but not every club matches every manager, see the great Brain Clough at Leeds! Tends to manage the players with an iron fist, and won't take any crap. Welcome Alan, look forward to your tenure. -
Him and Strachan duo eh...You looking for a spit roast type of night were you?

Mine's in! -
I wouldn't say he'd be too bad. I'd take him. Did well with lower league sides, and was highly rated before going to West Ham.

I find it amazing how they've kept all this out the press. God they do stuff professionally. -
John Hartson (New update - good news)

Truly horrific news, my best wishes to John and his family. Puts everything in context. I can't believe how quickly that's all happened. -

Get rid of BB.

Oh, if people can't go due to monetary/work constraints then you can't blame them. The ST's are very good value this year, they've done a very good job with them.
-
Agreed, I didn't enjoy it, it was not good, but I am a fan and that wouldn't stop me going. You support your team through thick and thin, whoever is in charge. A fan would continue to go. Someone who didn't go due to the quality of football is a customer, not a fanatic.

I don't particularly think he's a troll, not by any means. He has his opinions as do you and I, TDD, Alpine etc, and he sticks to them. But the thing is he writes in a way that makes others feel stupid, and thus leading to them reading far more into his posts than were originally there. Sometimes this indirect patronisation is meant, sometimes it isn't, but people do over-react about his posts.

I do agree with GM, hell I've put it across in my not so eloquant way before, but you can't forget that past, and the fact that we were lucky to get an owner. It was all about luck, not about the good judgement of some very stupid fans.
