The house music scene in Southampton is immense, I really don't think people realise how damn good it is. The best house DJ on the planet comes from Southampton and plays regularly. Complete over-reaction on this thread to criticise area's you just have no idea on.

I never said it was better than ITV, just saying BBC are cr@p.
-
It wasn't Beattie in the main, it was Dodd.
-
The BBC is RUBBISH for coverage. I can't believe anyone who knows anything about football would like it. If you want to spoon fed cliché's and ridiculously contrived analysis then watch the BBC.

More and more impressed with Wotte
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Although I like Wotte and really don't think he's a bad manager, I think we need someone new in so there is nothing left of Lowe's tenure. Only then as a club we can move forward. -
Can someone please tell me what's going on now? I'm loathe to read through the last 4 pages. I'm assuming nothing.

Did the "Lowe Boycott" Damage the Chances..
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
If those fans treat Southampton FC as a product, there lies the problem! They are consumers, not fanatics. A football club is NOT a product, it is NOT a consumer item that you stop 'buying' if the product is poor. A football club is loved unconditionally by those that call themselves fans. -
Did the "Lowe Boycott" Damage the Chances..
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
As this type of thread is usually started by me, and I usually get lambested for my point of view, I think most people know where I stand. All I can say is that I will never forgive those fans who decided to cut their nose off to spite their face, and prove that fans like that don't deserve a cluib. If they wanted to support a Chairman why not go support Sunderland or someone like that, Niall Quinn is a nice guy. -
Not enough arguments on other threads so you have to try and create a new one.

Hand clappy facey thing. Spot on sir.

Hate is such a strong word. But as much as I agree with your summation for Lowe, I have to say although Crouch is likeable as a person, he is also a bit naive and a bit of a motor mouthed idiot. But fair play to him for stumping up the money to keep us going, that is proper fan stuff, from a proper fan that just got out of his depth.

Lowe out...Oops!
-
Huzzah! Watch yourself though, you may need a hat for the bile about to come your way for suggesting that those 'fair-weather' supporters may have a responsibility to the club. Oh no, that's right, they're just customers. I suggest they go down the other end of the M27 and take their 'custom' with them.

Haha, you wait, I'll have Alpine or someone telling me to go ask my 'messiah' or something of the like. And of course, they're always right. Does anyone else find this thread and it's author incredibly ironic?

I think one of the main issues is people who don't bend over and take the opinions from some of the more vocal members are labelled as Lowe Luvvies and thus the divide is formed. For instance, I keep on getting called a Lowe Luvvie even though I went to both marches, stood outside and chanted against him. I think the problem is some of us try to look at things in a balanced way, but get derided and divised by those that aren't quite so myopic.

Crouch, not a big fan mysefl, but if true fairplay to the guy.
-
Erm, how did you get those figures? 5000*£26 = £130000 £130,000*23 = circa £3m Which would not have kept us up, but would have most definitely have stopped us going into administration.

But what better uses is the point. And what are they allowed to build on there due to contaminated land and the council's setting out of areas. I'd say pretty much f'all. Definitely not housing for instance.
-
Still be pretty good.
-
No it wouldn't, the stadium would likely be used for concerts etc, maybe even rugby as the top priorities, with the football as an aside.
-
Fry, we need to know something.
-
I wasn't behind him though, I was behind the team. Still didn't stop me going then, even though I'd seen him take us from a safe position to nearly getting us relegated.
-
Copied directly off the OS, they also had us beating Burnley 2-1. Bizarre.

Hmmm, still unsure about Pearson, I think next season will be a better show of his ability.
